I don't imagine that you are alone in that!   Grin

I've never met Mr. Rose and more than likely never will.  Read through the GN'R Highlights thread.  I'm sure if anyone has met him or another band member, it would be posted there.    Smiley

Axl and Beta walked by me when I worked at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton - he seemed in a rush - it was early around 4pm and I went to the concert that night. I think they were going to Toronto to party before coming back.

This chick I used to know met slash one night in chicago. She was friends with his then girlfriend. He bought all of them dinner, and said he was cool as shit. I pretty much expected that I just get the feeling he's a cool guy.

:)I met Buckethead in Las Vegas on December 30th,2001. I had gone to the first concert at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. I miracuously ended up in the front row because a really nice guy named Chris from San Antonio let me stand in front of him and he also protected me from the crowd.  We were standing in front of Bucketheadhead. I noticed Buckethead looking at me through his mask. I had a present to give Axl and I asked a few people about giving it to him. They all refused and I was sad, but i understood because of security risks. Anyway I was walking around the hotel the next day and I walked past Starbuck's. A nice looking guy smiled at me and I smiled back.  A few moments later a girl came chasing after me saying that she was friends with a band member and that he would give my present to Axl, he recognized me from the front row.  I was so happy that I almost burst into tears.  I came back with the present and he told me that he was Buckethead.  I WILL  NEVER REVEAL what he looks like.  He was very nice and I wrote him a thankyou letter c/o Bucketheadland and he wrote back!  He said thanks Anne for your kind words.  Chris if you are reading this thanks again!  I am going to see Buckethead in Chicago next Saturday and I am going to try to get in the front row. I'll be the girl in the Hello Kitty attire.

I met Steven in Vegas this New years. He was amazingly nice and signed an autograph. I wanted to chat to him about the past, but as I had to climb over all these chairs to get to him and he was backstage it was hard. Really really cool guy and what a way to start the year.

I met and chatted with gilby for about 30 minutes in Oklahoma City a few years back at a bar after one of his shows.  He's extremely nice and laid back.  He had his first flaming dr. pepper that night to drink and he loved it.

:)My present was of  theme nature, I think Axl Is the Beethoven of rock music.  The gift included a spirit collage I made and put in a small plasic frame, a Beethoven Tshirt and socks along with a Kermie green bandanna. It was wrapped with deinim wrapping paper with a angel bow that was made out of a bandana.  As I look back it tooka tremendous amount of courage for me to approach people about giving it to him because i am in no way a stereotypical groupie. My friens were all worried about me going to Vegas by myself, they were all like "I can't believe you went to a GUNSROSES concert by yourself! I was so worried about you!  Bu t I was fine and I had a great time!  And when I went to the Allstate arena I manged to meet another nice guy who let me stand in the front row!  I just shelled out $750 for a VIP Madonna ticket and rumour has it we may get to meet her!  I am really hoping to maybe get to chat with Buckethead again Next saturday! peace

That is very cute, Annie.  I hope he wears the socks, and green bandana on stage  ok
I'm not sure what kind of gift to get him if I could... maybe a painting or something since he's into buying art.

I tried to meet Axl when he was working out/kick boxing at Hard Rock 12/29/01, but the guard outside of the door wouldn't let it happen.  "Axl doesn't like strangers approaching him."
I figured that much before hand, but still tried to meet him anyway.

LONG-TIME lurker, first time poster.heh.  Anyway, I met Slash in Spring of '99 in Miami at Zeta's first Bonzai concert. I was in the third row. Cool  Each band did a meetngreet after their set.  I got all of Snakepit to sign my shirt and they sang "Peggy Sue" to me when I told them Peggy was my name.  Slash was very sweet and humble, and looked at me like I was crazy when I told him I had waited 10 years to finally meet him.  Awesome night.
