Hey guys - I dug out the first ever issue of UK's Classic Rock mag with GNR on the cover - and thought i'd share for all the fans who havent read it yet or had forgotten it

Thanks for postin that. A litlle hard to read with a laptop. But it reminded me so much of the old days. Even school girls dressed up in leather and ripped jeans. I was into it as a young teenager aswell well, but nowadays not.

Curiously enough, Axl is on the front cover of the latest issue of Classic Rock, with the title "Guns N' Roses: The Band That Refuses To Die". I haven't got a copy yet to know what's inside, but should be interesting.

Was it Axl n' Slash? (then again there are probably more books out there about gnr with those two on the cover)

lol, well that was an interesting read!  I know Axl has behaved unreasonably to journalists in the past out of paranoia, but Mick Wall definitely has his own agenda as well.  He strikes me as the type that considers themselves a "friend" to the bands he is covering, and when they became the biggest band in the world and dared to use bodyguards and not pal around with him, the glowing reviews turned nasty.  

Obviously, the tape thing was an issue when MW reviewed Rock In Rio, he kind of slammed them.  And he still harbours animosity no matter what he says, that's plainly evident.  Good read though.

You know, I don't doubt that Vince Neil was coming onto Izzy's wife.  I just it funny that it was Axl, not Izzy, who was so worked up about it that he ended up threatening this poor guy's life.  That's assuming Mick Wall was completely honest, but who's to say he wasn't?  The question is, why would Axl be so concerned about a singer and a band that was completely inferior to him and GNR in every single imaginable way?  Oh well, that's Axl for you.

yeah, Vince girl sharise told izzy to fuck off when he tried to get laid. I think he cursed her out (stupid drunk) and kicked her in the stomach. Then when vince heard: he was at mtv awards and when guns came out after playing he was waiting for them and then he punched izzy. details of circumstanses on what happened vary much. But axl came snarling after vince and told him not to fuck with his band. And afterwords it was the media bullshit you know about.
