Some folks bitch because they don't hear enough...then, when a member opens up and speaks, it's said that, "this isn't good for the band..."
What?  Honestly, ya can't win with some people.
I sure hope Ron understands how appreciated he is.   peace

Thanks for the interview, very interesting to read!
The part about his accident, well that's pretty tough...I remember seeing him a little after that (a few months later) and it didn't show at all, he kept a lot to himself. About 2006, I remember he wasn't really part of the backstage thing but I didn't know it was like that. Really nice and interesting person, for sure.

Great interview. Also very happy that Ron is able to openly talk about negative things. It means he's able to deal with them instead of letting shit build up. I don't want anyone to end up as the Jason Newstead of GNR...

Great interview. I agree with Axl4prez, he IS appreciated, both for his craftmanship in the band, and his honesty. He's a tough one that Ron. Respect yes

Having had spinal surgery and the associated pain, bad  days and better days, I can say to Ron hang in  there fella. Trust me, 1 good day is heavenly, and you'll get more out of that day than most do in a month. As time goes by, the acuteness mellows into discomfort, and you can follow your passion on a regular basis, having only a few shit days a week. Love you bro' stick with it... ok

It was very interesting to hear how badly he was treated by the other guys when he first started...in my opinion this band started getting along way better and started having more fun on and off stage when Robin left and DJ joined. I've seen them live a few times with Robin and a few times with DJ and it's amazing how much more fun and interaction there is between everyone on stage since DJ joined. As for the offstage stuff, we've gotten to see pictures and videos of the guys hanging out and doing some sight seeing while on tour...just having a good time together and DJ is always a part of it. I think DJ is what this band desperately needed both on and off stage.
