I can't just say I love one. It's hearing how it changes that really rocks. I've really like You're Crazy(AFD version, actually, and acoustic) Rocket Queen and Civil War

the "my world" voice, the "shotgun blues" voice, and the "I dont care about you voice".
Thats like his "natural" voice, in my opinion.
I think his "natural" voice is in Dont Cry and Patience cos it dosnt sound like he's forcing any particular sound. He's just singing, IMO

I really love his speaking vioice--very deep and unexpected...(I am a sucker for a dude w/ a nice soothing voice...)

in terms of singing...I'd say the original demo of "don't cry"...very poinent

I couldn't agree more!I like his speaking voice, too and I really really love his voice in the original demo of ''Don't Cry''!

Also, I remember the first time I heard his live cover of 'Dust in the Wind'. I was really moved by the emotion in his voice.

Could you please tell me in which concert did he sing it?

Cool topic.. My current faves (of the released songs, of course) are his vocals on Breakdown and Think About You - For totally different reasons. I also love his random outburst screams, especially the one in Perfect Crime ("I SAID IT'S PERFECT!!"). Great stuff.

And I seriously love how he sounds on IRS - The vox there are fucking unreal. Hopefully the final version sounds similar.

Most of that voice is altered by the studio anyway.

I'm not sure which concert it's from. Here's a sound clip, if you haven't heard it yet:
