I've been coughing since May.  That scratch in the back of my throat I can't shake.  Allergies this year are just bad.

It's not an exaggeration, it's what we all could see during the show.
He was also spitting multiple times throughout the show.

It's an exaggeration. I saw and heard the same vids. His spitting has no meaning other than perhaps he had mucus in his throat, which could be caused by any one of a number of things.

Yeah, I'm listening to it right now and he sounds about like he usually does these days.

If nothing else, the camera work is very good. They put in more effort for that than any previous RIR, or festival in general.
