Guns N' Roses Strong Since 1999!

So Monster Energy, probably in association with DJ Ashba, have started sponsoring and making the band's guitar picks - I think it's great because now Richard, DJ, Tommy and Bumblefoot all have their own personalised picks. I've been looking around EBay and I've also found an Axl pick, not the purple one from years and years ago, but a recent pick with the new GNR logo and his classic first name signature on the back. So I have no doubt it's legitimate, but I wanted to know, why?

I mean, asides from There Was A Time, Shotgun Blues and Dead Horse, two of which they never play and the other which they've hardly ever played I can't think of any other GNR material on which Axl plays guitar? So, just out of curiosity, why the plectrum? Is it just for commemorative purposes or has Axl been performing on guitar at a certain point in the set on these most recent dates? Or are they just there in case Axl decides he wants to play any of those three songs?
