Axl was a huge fan of Nirvana, and he wanted Nirvana to open for GNR... it wasn't until the MTV 1992 VMA when there was an unpleasant exchange between Axl and Courtney Love/Kurt Cobain that Axl started ranting on Nirvana and doing stuff like burning Nirvana hats on stage.

Apparently at the September 13, 1992 show in Toronto, Canada, Axl ranted about Nirvana, and then while the rest of the band played a little bit of "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Axl burned a Nirvana hat.

sometimes you see a thumbnail and ignore it cuz you already seen it / have it
but I've found that if you wanna collect Axl pics on your harddrive,
you gotta check out duplicates to find the rare high res quality
i have the photographic history.. but i still save these shots to my hard drive
just gotta have 'em on my hard drive!?

I?ve no idea how rare this image is, but i picked up a new printer with built in scanner today and thought i?d test it out on a few pages from an issue of Classic Rock. As you?ll be able to tell, the image was spread across 2 pages...
