If it helps any, as a stage performer, one of the golden rules is:

It doesn't matter how big or small your part is, everyone's 'part' is important.

From the walk on, to the star, non-speaking or speaking role - everyone is vital in helping to achieve the aim of the production. It's a team effort.

I mean its cool that Bach is talkin about Axl on HIS RECORD but when he starts volunteering too much info on CD about "Sorry" and 4 different versions etc. That makes me nervous.

He didn't really give any details away except that he sings with Axl on the chorus of Sorry.  His description of Sorry was the same way he already described it in RS last year, and said that Axl had like 4 discs worth of songs for CD which doesn't really give anything away, except that they've recorded a lot of material for the album.  I don't think he said anything that would piss Axl off

I'm not disputing what you're saying. ?But in both those cases, the band didn't have any "identity" issues to deal with.

Like nobody was saying: ?WOW! ?Those vocals sound great but that really doesn't sound like Tracii playing guitar.

from what I've heard, initialy Baz said what I quoted from keno and then he just said that axl would play in july at his next show. maybe it wasn't a correction after all.
Baz wasn't in japan with GNR in this july you know.

Maybe its overreacting from me, but if Axl was ok to do that, with Angel Down coming out in November 20th, it would be because he wants to put the CD album by that time too...

"So in January, I went to Electric Lady [studios in New York City], and I sang the chorus of this song "Sorry", and it came out really, really amazing."

Even though I know to take everything Baz says with a grain of salt, it's still disappointing to hear that as recent as January they might still have been laying down vocals. ?Undecided

well, we already knew that didn't we? i think axl said so.. recording was done in march or something it's maybe in the mixing stage now, who knows.. let's be happy for these news instead of being pesimistic
Yes, I think you're right about the "March" part. ?If I remember correctly, the "March sessions" were to (deservedly) incorporate Frank & Ron into the album.

So I think what I'm really disappointed about is that the changes made in January were to give someone not in the band a seemingly prominent spot on the album. ?With all the shit that the guys who are in the band have had to eat, you'd think that on at least the initial release that the focus would be all on them.

I think it would kinda suck for people to hear the song and go:

WOW! ?Which one is singing with Axl on that song?

None. ?That's Baz.

Baz is in GNR?

No.
 ? ?

See, I think the fundamental flaw in what you're saying is that it's a "prominent" part.  It isn't.  It's just a harmony for the chorus of one song.

Axl did backing vocals for the chorus of a Don Henley song, and that didn't make anyone I know think that Axl and Don Henley were working together full time.

I'm with you on this.  Any time information about CD comes from anyone but Axl himself, it only leads to bad things (mostly negative vibes from forum folk, industry people, etc.).  Here's hoping that's not the case this time out.

Come on now. It's very unlikely that Axl knew when Bach's album would come out when he agreed to do it.
