Saw 2007 show- what a scene! came on around 1245p played till 330- not 1 person left! unlike here-people bitch & moan if past 10-also whole crowd sung every song note 4 note!

1 thing to keep in mind- if go early for gen adm- must line up before 3 for front row but vocals travel over u in that arena cause stage is so high- but still incredible! mite go again

People in here in the US r telling me that Mexico is unstable dangerous as hell now- kidnappings, violence, robberies etc.-- is it that bad in Monterrey? seemed fine in 07' or has it really gotten a lot more dangerous, especially for Americans?

Ant thoughts appreciated because its the only thing holding my wife & me back from going to the show.- Thx!

Definitely its dangerous but if you arrive by a airplane to mty just go direct to Arena Monterrey and stay in a hotel or motel near the Arena , that will be my recommendation.  Im not from Monterrey , im from Reynosa 3 hours away from Monterrey.

there are a lot of problems in Mexico due the drug cartels indeed but am from Mexico City and i can tell you that personally i havent seen any problems,just some things on the news, but from what i know the worst places are Tamaulipas, Monterrey and a few others.  if the problems are really bad i cant tell you, what i can tell you its that at least in Mexico City you can have a good time go to the concert and being fine. i mean we all know that Mexico its not the most secure place but that doesnt mean that you will get robbed or kiddnaped just for coming a few days. but well i think  you should put your wifes and your safety first so dont do anything you dont feel comfortable doing.

Exactly , MExico City was one of the most dangerous places in the country , now is one of the more secure , now the cities that was the paceful cities are the dangerous , like Metallica says , Sad But true
