It kind of is on Axl's terms.  He needed the fill in.  He didn't want to play with Duff at the RNRHOF.  Duff had to go to South America and fill in on  Axl's tour.  Duff appears like he will play anywhere with Axl at anytime, Axl only lets Duff play with him at his shows when he is ready. Who knows, good for Duff.

It had nothing to do with him not wanting to play with Duff at the HOF thing... it was only Slash that he would not even step in to the same room with

or maybe if the Hall had let todays band play and made watch Slash from the last row... that probably could have convinced Axl too lol

Cool! Duff is a good guy, it'll be fun to see him with GNR for a few shows!

I would assume Tommy. Coachella will be over by then.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

The Replacement gets his Walking Papers.... In case ya hadn't already heard, Duff McKagan will be filling in for Tommy Stinson for the last 5 shows in South America-- Buenos Aires, Asuncion, La Paz, Recife, and Fortaleza.

He didn't want to play or be at the HOF, period.

Again, there is nothing to suggest Duff agreed to do this out of anything other than his own free will.  So, I don't see how it can be "on Axl's terms".  Duff agreed to do it and was amenable to it.  Clearly, it worked for him.

Agreed.

I don't see a real plausible argument this is being done by anything but his own free will.

Axl could have called up Buckethead too.  That hardly meant Bucket would be rushing right back.  Because he has no desire to.

I remember Tommy being mistaken for Duff when they played the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.  They bear a slight resemblence to one another if you don't look too closely.

In that last picture, looking at a couple of the people, I can't help but thinking that taking a selfie while being photographed with Duff and DJ is a bit redundant.
