When answering the question about song titles, he confirmed some and then:

Dexter said "Down By The Ocean (Izzy)"

Did he just confirm that is a song co-written with Izzy?

Sounds like it.

cool to see Axls answering alot of questions, the man comes across as very intelligent and articulate in his responses to no surprise,
all fucking class.  beer
Anyone who takes the time to watch his interviews over the years can see that...he thinks his answers through, and is very articulate.  It makes me wonder how the BS about him has had so much play over the years.   He's an amazing musician, and really seems like someone you'd enjoy sitting down with for a chat over a beer...in a way he is giving all of us that opportunity by visiting these sites (without the risk of overzealous 30-something groupie chicks tearing him limb from limb  hihi)!  Class act.  He actually wanted to give us new titles and info to discuss! beer

Sounds like it.

"In '95, Duff and me recorded songs for the band. We made a tape that went nowhere. Then, a couple of months ago I have a message on my answering machine: 'Yo! It's Axl, I need a copy of the songs that you did.' There was one called 'Down by the Ocean' or 'Down by the Sea', they may have used it, I haven't come back to know nothing." (Izzy, Popular Magazine, 2001)

There was also a nice piece of piano work before November Rain played more often in 2002.
