has anyone, be it a car next to you or someone standing on a corner, said anything to you hearing the music?  A few months ago I was listening to WTTJ from LiveEra, and a guy in a truck next to me heard it and told me to turn it up.  He was like middleaged, kind of a redneck. lol  But I thought it was so cool.  Anything like that happen to any other Gunners?  Smiley

Once I saw a guy playing "you could be mine" in his car....that was a Ferrari. Red Ferrari. I was more amazed to hear "you could be mine" in the streets (the sound was LOUD) than by the car! Incredible experience.

I was walking down Fairfax, and this young guy drove by.  I heard the ending spanish guitar solo from DTJ playing loud from his speakers.  It was surreal.

yeah, i had rocket queen blasting when i pulled into the 7-11 parking lot...   go inside and the guy at the register made a comment -
something about how he heard me rocking out to rocket queen - and we talked about GN'R a bit
the dude was about my age(mid to late thirties)...  big white dude - 'biker type' bearded/tatted 'old school' rocker type
and earlier this summer another car pulled up next to me in the parking lot of the supermarket and had YCBM blasting...  *rock*
something that wasn't played on the radio at all - so he was rocking a UYI cd...
but my husband was there (he was driving and pullling out of our space anyway) - so i couldn't acknowledge the dude
otherwise i might have in some way  Grin

Last time I went to my favorit club, the dj put YCBM on before I could wish it, later he told me he had seen me enter and knew I was going to ask for it anyway Smiley

A few years ago, I took this 17 year old girl out on a date. We went to see a movie(Signs), and after that we went and played some pool. Things were going great, and we were going to go to a motel. So we left the pool hall and walked back to my car. This is when I made a crucial mistake. I decided to listen to GNR. I had a GNR import(3rd Gig) in my stereo, and I put on 'Knockin on Heaven's Door'. She asked me, "Who's That?" I was shocked. It was a complete turnoff. I couldn't believe she didn't know who GNR was. I could imagine someone not liking GNR, but never imagined someone not knowing who they were. I just drove her back to her parents house. I know you probably think I'm crazy for not having sex with her, but I had never been with anyone who had never heard of GNR. It was the last time I ever went out with anyone that young.

That's a little weird. Tongue? I've never heard of anyone dumping a girl cause she never heard of GNR...

But if them liking GNR is a criteria for choosing the right woman, then more power to you.? peace

Maybe she just only knew the tracks on greatest hits or afd. My gf didn't know gnr either, now she sure does.

The coolest thing Ive hear regarding this experience is that last month I was out with my friends and out of nowhere I hear this guy sing Madagascar. He was singing "And left so far out from the shore that I cant find my way back, my way anymore". It was really cool. 1st time I ever heard any1 sing a new song or talk about the new songs

Its weird...listening to the old GNR brings up all these emotions I have for Chinese D, to the point that it bumbs me out listening to the old. I have been fairly obsessed with IRS. I think once Chinese Democracy is released, I will be able to rediscover the old albums again. But for right now, I just don't feel like listening to them (and haven't for a long time).

Really Buddah? I thought I was the only person who didn't listen to the old stuff anymore. I stopped listening to it because of burnout. I have been listening to GNR since they first came out. I thought I should take a long break from listening to those albums.

Nothing concerned with the topic man, but what happened with your trilogy, I thought you were going to upload it in three weeks but that was almost half year ago... bye....

and talking about the topic I think it would be really amazing listening  Axl, and Izzy with ALICE cooper ... in somebody's car... I cant remember the songs name... bye

I was about to say "WTF!? - you completely got turned off, changed your mind about the motel-cap on the evening, and took her home just like that because she'd not heard of GN'R!?"

Then I noticed that you DID say she's only 17.

Smart move. ok

once my dad was washing the car and he put on civil war loud as fucking hell.

because of where we live (its all hills, and our house is facing kind of a valley) you could probably hear it miles away.

Those are the 30 years old guys or ladies that were teens back to the GN'R zenith.
Nice times.

I would've done the same even make her feel bad for not knowing GNR.
Anyway last year I was in NY and in this club, the wet room I guess, well the thing is that I was at the bar and then 14 years started to play in the club I was singing so happy but suddenly in the middle of the song the "DJ" change it for some Tiesto song! I was so angry and a guy came over to me saying oh dude how can they do that to GNR. Well the next thing i did was getting drunk with my exGF.  Grin
