Would love to see an Oasis/GnR bill, but  I dont think it would/could happen anytime soon...

Black Crowes would be sweet..

I know Oasis is currently in a funk.

I thought The Black Crowers just did some shows this summer.

Yeah, Chris and Rich are both touring separately as solo acts this fall into next year. But yeah, I'd be cool with no opener at all come to think of it.

People who I'd like to see opening for GN'R and I think could be available...

Black Stone Cherry
Bobot Adrenaline (the singer's a friend of Tommy's)
Manic Street Preachers
Apocalyptica
Return To Earth (the singer's a friend of Ron's)
Smashing Pumpkins would be cool, but they're touring Europe at the time
Korn
Stone Sour
Avenged Sevenfold
Noel Gallagher
Jane's Addiction
Evanescence

Smashing Pumpkins would be cool, as well as Jane's, but I don't think they would do it.  How about Alice N' Chains?  I think that would be a great bill and I believe Axl and Jerry are friends.  I really want someone well known and exciting band as a opener this time around.  Get a big time band to open, so you can have no reason to miss any of the opening act.

if there has to be an opener, AIC would be great (even though i thought the last record sucked). or maybe the new york dolls? i saw someone mentioned graveyard...graveyard would be bad-ass.  but really, if given my druthers...no opener.

AIC still puts on a great show, considering what they've been through. I probably wouldn't pay to see them as headliners again, but would show up to see em open for Guns.
Same with the New York Dolls, but not sure they were meant to play stadiums.
I like the Pumpkins, but the new incarnation was far and away the worst live band I've ever seen.

Which new incarnation? I saw the line-up that toured Zeitgeist play at Reading and really enjoyed it. Have just got tickets to the new new incarnation at Brixton Academy. I've really liked the Teargarden By Kaleidyscope stuff they've released so far, so I'm hoping they don't suck.

this isn't 1991, so that shouldn't be a problem. Wink

It was a couple years ago. I admit I haven't kept up with them since, so not sure if lineup has changed.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since I've only seen them the one time, maybe just an off night.
