Let's face it: "Prostitute" is straight-up awesome.

I know it (it's my favorite song on CD), you know it (currently ranking a strong #4 on the HTGTH "Chinese Democracy Favorite Song" poll), and Axl presumably knows it (he made it the epic closer on "Chinese Democracy").

To date, though, we've barely seen it played live.

So, if you're with me and would love to see it mixed into Guns n' Roses' already-mind-blowing setlists, please post your response below.

I just don't think it translates well live right now.  I think the same for "Catcher In The Rye" - though I think that sounds amazing live when played slowed down as they did at CBGBs in 2010 and at the Paris club show also.  Perhaps if the tempo is altered as was "Catcher" - it can be done live successfully.

I would love to see "Prostitute" back in the set list but I think a lot of rehearsal would have to be put into it.  For many reasons musically and vocally it is just a song that seems to be very hard to translate live.

The "campaigns" are getting old.

I want to listen "Prostitute" though. Obviously.

Axl Democracy: Solid points. It certainly does present its challenges. But given the amazing stuff the band has done on this tour with "Estranged," "Civil War," etc., would love to see them try to pull it off.

Ulises: Also agreed ... but felt the topic was worthy.

Axl really struggles to sing this live, catcher was great in the paris club but his vocal doesn't appear to be in that zone right now.

Maybe one day in the future#!

Ouch, really?
I really like this song on record, one of my favorites off CD.
I thought it would be a tough one to pull live, but man, I thought that performance was just bad all around.

Since the last time I seen GN'R in 2010, they've added a whole bunch of new songs to the setlist. Do I want to hear the majority of them when I see them again?... of course I do. But seeing as the band hasn't played this live for a while, is certainly a sign that they feel they need to re-work their approach to the song. Much like how TWAT was only performed live twice in 2006, before it was pulled from the setlist.

So I do want to hear Prostitute.....but the band must have felt like they weren't happy with the live presentation of it during the last few live performances. I'm sure they will come back to it, let's hope it's soon.

I really do think that Axls "current voice" the one where he uses less rasp and more of a clean voice, would suit prostitute live now! Would love to hear it played just before PC, with the piano ending, the lights fading out then boom! paradise city!  ok
