Today, Amanda from Survivor said that she will be at the Borgota for the Maxim festival deal, and said that Velvet Revolver will be there.  Minutes later, toward the end of the interview, Artie asked "You said Velvet Revolver is gonna be there?  Id love to see them guys live".

But more interesting is a contest Howard is holding.  For those who listen, you know that Vinny Favale (CBS late night executive or something) and a K-Rock sales manager made an awful acapella pop song that Howard and the rest goof on.  So now Howard is holding a contest for the best original interpretation of this song.  Not only is Howard himself doing a rendition of it, but he said yesterday that he talked to Scott Weiland about doing one.  Robin asked "So Velvet Revolvers going to do one?"  And while itll probably only be Scott doing the song, it should still be interesting.

From Marksfriggin.com -

"Howard hasn't figured out the final voting for the contest yet. Anyone can enter so Howard said that he talked to Scott Weiland about entering and sent the song to Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray to see if he could work with it. The band Staind said they couldn't do anything with the song when they were asked to try it. "
