Don't know if this is an old topic, but:

What do you think is the most overrated/underrated GN'R song??

I think the most underrated songs is Right next door to hell, Think about you, and Reckless life!

Most overrated (The tough one) is yesterdays & used to love her..

Well, my opinion..  peace

Looooads of GN'R songs are very underated, especially Don't Damn Me, Estranged, Coma, and a lot of the other songs on the Use Your Illusion albums.

That's one of them.  I've always thought that the song just lacks punch.  It's too slow, Axl's voice is too soft, and yes, there are no drums.  The live version is slightly better but still not good, IMO.  It's one of my least favorite GNR songs.

It's the other way around for me, I like the studio recording (minus that stupid phone call), but the live versions got really redundant.  Especially laughable was Axl exclaiming, "Gimme some reggae!"

Paradise City is a song i love live but as a studio song i think it's a bit lacking and overated, Since I Don't Have You is one of the worst tracks on TSI? it's meant to be damn punk covers it just does not suit GN'R not keen on it at all.  As for Patience it's missing a kick hell i do enjoy it but i think it's overated, saying a song is overated is not saying you dislike it just saying you don't think it's as good as everyone thinks.  These 3 songs were on the GH, they were singles but hell there are tracks people consider filler that i consider better.  as for JustUsOwls thinking im crazy for believing Sympathy For The Devil is underated well fact is i enjoy the track and am not afraid to say it.  But most on this board and nearly all reviewers condem it i don't know why i love it and think it kicks the Stones version in to touch.

The most underrated is Don't Damn Me, followed by Bad Obsession, Right Next Door To Hell and indeed many others from UYI1.

Most overrated is quite difficult to pick, as I like most GnR songs. I'll probably go with Mr. Brownstone, I never really got into that song for some reason.

Yeah, another thing that bugged the hell outta me was how at the end of KOHD Axl always had to go through this in-depth explanation of what was about to take place, as if the audience was totally clueless: "See, first I sing one, and then you sing one, and then we do that four times..."

I personally don't consider any GN'R songs to be overrated. The ones that have been praised, deserve all the credit they get. But, the songs that I feel lack much needed attention and credit, are Breakdown, Think About You, My Michelle, Rocket Queen, You Ain't The First, So Fine, and 14 Years.
