itd be cool if buckethead came back as a normal person, revealing his identity and his real name, and ya know, was normal... but still shredded shit outta the guitar

I highly doubt it, and if there's any word that he's back in the band who knows how long that will delay things. Let's just hope that things remain somewhat consistent so that we can expect the release of Chinese Democracy within the next year or two.

Hope he does come back.  These demos prove he can fit in Axl's new vision of G&R.
And for those who say that he just shreds... that's part of BH's playing. If you listen to his solo work, he does shred a lot. But from these demos, I think it was mostly "controlled shredding", especially in TWAT. He just blends it well with the whole melody.
