It would really surprise me to see a new Guns' video period, regardless of who produces them.

Maybe they won't bother with music videos.  Let's face it, music videos are a waste of money these days, nobody really cares about them anymore.  All the money today at least in the US mainstream market is in radio airplay and getting your songs used in commercials and all that shit, because hit singles get downloaded on iTunes and get downloaded as ringtones, pathetic but true, but labels and artists are making a killing off fucking ringtones these days.  Music videos are expensive and not very productive

I don't really agree, I think that music video's are the way to reach a more younger/mainstream audience...it's partly because of those music video's that those younger people (the ones that watch channels like MTV) get to hear the songs and decide to download/buy the songs. plus, you can make a music video as expensive or as cheap as you want it to.

Yeah, but MTV doesn't even play music videos anymore.  VH1 doesn't play them that often either.  Every time flip through MTV, MTV2, and VH1 they're playing some shitty reality show or they're playing pop/rap videos.  Not including the little pop rock bands like The Killers and My Chemical Romance, I haven't seen a rock video on TV, aside from being drunk and channel surfing at 3 in the morning, in ages

everyone watches music videos on YOUTUBE. And i think the record label will make them do a video. I mean a new record a single and a video go hand and hand with promotion.

I'm sure they'll do a video but I don't think record companies are willing to spend nearly the amount of money they used to on videos.  They just aren't great marketing tools in 2007.

I'm not really interested in seeing a huge video.   Just some live footage would be sufficent.  Some of the latest attempts bands make at videos these days turn out corny and cheesy.

And you would be wrong... He was directly stating his opinion on it after Baz said his favorite video? was It's So Easy and said..."Now I just think it's( corny)..I liked the filming of it." ok? can't remember if it was corny or what, but a slang term to define a dislike I'm sure..and not discarding all the other videos

You may want to listen to the interview again. Your getting sections mixed up.  They did talk about the It's So Easy video, but Eddie asked Axl specifically about the Don't Cry and November Rain videos and he replied that he thought they were corny.

Axl then says i dont know i think they are corny and i liked the filming of em that whole aspect.axl then talks about the orginal idea for the scom video. Bas then says that del james gave him a copy of the it's so easy video. and they talk about buying the bondage clothes for the video.

Maybe I'm hearing it wrong but I don't hear him say anything about the trilogy videos...like or dislike.. Trunk brings it up but axl never answers and baz jumps in about ISE. I don't think axl is talking about the trilogy videos as it's a lost question with baz's interjection..Axl states his opinion on ISE and talks about his vision of SCOM.....Thats what i interpret   peace

I remember Andy Morahan was on VH1 2 or 3 years ago-can't remember what the special was on-maybe about videos-he kind of bashed the expreience of working with GNR-I think he was expecting to make a video explaining what happened to Stephanie in the story, and of course they went in a totally different direction-if you watch the making of Estranged you can kind of sense they weren't on the same page-BTW it looked like Andy had put on about a hundred pounds-so I doubt Axl will work with him again

I still like all those videos. Even Estranged as strange as the whole dolphin thing was. It would be weird to come back and do a vid like that now tho. If they make one it should be simpler and more to the point. Probably a waste of money too since the first song they put out people aren't going to be thinking "I wonder what the video is?" All the intrigue is probably going to be on the actual sound of the song since it's a new band andeveryone will be wondering what Axl has been up to for so long.

Guy who did, November Rain, Estranged, Don't Cry. Do you think Axl will use this guy for new videos?

Since Axl said he thinks those videos are cheesy now, I'm guessing no.

when did he say this?

I think it was during the Eddie Trunk interview.

He was talking about the " It's So Easy" video... not all there videos

No, he was talking about all Guns N' Roses videos in general.

But he said he enjoyed filming them.

Axl said he thinks the Its So Easy video is corny now. Not the trilogy vids.

Axl was for sure talking about the trilogy vids.  That's what they asked him about and he said they were kinda corny now.  THEN Sebastian started talking about ITs So Easy because he really liked it and had seen it even though it wasn't released.

No way he is.

Trunk starts with saying how he liked UYI videos. Bach tries to cut in with his "special information" about It's So Easy, but Axl just ignores him and answers Trunk how he now thinks the trilogy videos are corny, but he liked to shoot them and stuff. (Besides, Axl is talking about them - UYI videos - not only one video that Sebastian tried to talk about.)

Trunk continues with a question about Axl's favorite video, he answers with his original concept for SCOM. After that, Bach again brings up the ISE video, and then Axl acknowledges him by saying that it's okay for Seb to have that video even if "he shouldn't have gotten it from Del James".

He's asked about the Trilogy videos and he answered - it's so easy has nothing to do with it. Stop hearing things that aren't mentioned.
