Title: Axl/GNR are #24 on VH-1's Outrageous Celebrity Moments
Post by: Dizzy on April 09, 2004, 09:58:13 PM
On a really interesting VH-1 miniseries entitled "100 Outrageous Celebrity Moments", number 24 is Axl's comeback at the VMAs.  VH-1 actually did a poor job chronicling the true outrageousness of the moment, only briefly mentioning that Slash had been replaced by Buckethead, and ignoring the fact that the rest of the band were replacements as well.  Rather, they poked fun at Axl's appearance.  They mentioned the ill-fated 2002 tour as well.

Also, Axl's display of violence during the infamous St Louis incident was mentioned as a precurser to another outrageous moment, featuring Sebastian Bach's 1989 attack on a fan during a show.

It had some footage from the 2002 tour I think.

I don't recall seeing any '02 tour footage. They did show a pic of Axl in the white "80" jersey. The people they were talking too actually seemed to have liked the performance, Baz was about to splooge. The thing that made me mad was the announcer at the end said the end for the tour marked the end for GNR 2.0. Whatever.

Didn't it?  I'd say we've reached at least 2.1 by now ...
