I have a black Epiphone Les Paul Custom since 2003 and I love it.. it's never getten rid of voluntarely
In 2005 I bought an Epiphone Wildkat (P-90's) which I traded in a few months ago for the Epiphone ES-175 reissue. The Wildkat is a good guitar but I found the P-90's didn't sound that great on my Marshall AVT50x, too cold and sterile and I've always wanted a big hollowbody like the ES-175. The ES-175 is the best soundin guitar I've ever had.. it's like the LP Custom sound only fatter, warmer and spacier. If you're a hollowbody fan you should get this one
I've tried a few Gibson's and most of them are a better then the Epiphone's, but a good Epiphone is better then a bad Gibson if you know what I mean.. I'm happy with the guitars, they stay in tune just fine
^ On the ES-175 they deliberatly put the E sticker on the pickguitar on loosely so that people can easily pull it off
Looks much better without

My daughter is still on the fence about the whole thing, so I picked one up (Epi LP Spec II) for myself.
Now I just need to find a song that I can play that only uses D and A - the only two chords I know so far!!
I've shifted the balance of world power towards newbie guitarists by +1.

I play an Epiphone Les Paul Deluxe from 98 with the mini humbuckers, as Sir Les Paul himself said ... these are damn fine guitars ...

At least the copy is produced by the same parent company as the original.
