i once heard that axl said this was actually done in the studio, with an audience dubbed over the top. Anyone know if this is true??
Also anyone own a copy?? I was given a copy by my parents for xmas some years ago, and my family reckon its the best gift they ever gave me and i agree, although i have obviously never played it.

Yes, the LLAS tracks were studio recorded in a studio with the audience dubbed in. The tracks w/out audience can be found as demo versions on the net. I remember listening to them for the first time (the "demo" tracks) and thinking "Hmm.. this sounds VERY familiar".

steven adler told me that the guy who mixed it had just mixed live records by Dio and Quiet Riot, so that's actually from where the audience sound is.
