I think Slash helped there, and Duff too.
They said Slash was very into the destruction, drug abuse type of songs so he might have helped there

Slash said he didn't write anything else than a line here and there. I think he has a line on Out Ta Get Me and one on Locomotive. I don't know exactly what line though (Last verse on Out Ta Get Me, I think). Coma he was far away from and Civil War was written by Axl and Duff. You could also check my page gnrinfo.tk for further info (might be more accurate). I don't recall everything I've written there.

I know this will probably upset some people, but I don't think Slash or Duff are capable of writing lyrics like that. It's over their heads.

Slash is a great guitarist and while Axl certainly has many faults, when it comes to intelligent lyrics, it's all Axl.
