Brandt Centre - 7,000 (hockey)

Didnt realize they were playing such a small place... Will be a helluva place to see em...

John Labatt Centre - 8,200 to 9,000

Had no idea this place is small as it is

Me either but I'm excited about it. I'm seeing them in Hamilton the night before and that venue is like twice the size of the one in London so it'll be great to see the same show, two nights apart, with vastly different arena sizes.

" SOLD OUT "

« Reply #781 on: January 11, 2010, 03:42:20 PM »

7000-20 000 depending on the show i think.

Really?!?! Which one is 7000? That number seems way to low for any arena

Seems about right. Most of them are around 15,000 or more though.

MTS Centre - 16,170
Pengrowth Saddledome - 20,100
Rexall Place - 12,000
Credit Union Centre - 15,000
Brandt Centre - 7,000 (hockey)
Copps Coliseum - 19,000
John Labatt Centre - 8,200 to 9,000
Bell Centre - 14,000 to 21,500
Air Canada Centre - 19,800
Scotiabank Place - 19,153 (hockey)
Colis?e Pepsi - 14,623
Moncton Coliseum - 7,200
Halifax Metro Centre - 13,000

Good Number... Aprox. 150.000 FANS Of GN'R.

2002  I saw them at Toronto then London - expect the Hamilton show to be a better experience. Copps should be rocking!!!

Brandt is gonna be packed though and Credit union center will not hit more then 10 000.  However GnR has sold very well.  In SK the more metal rock crowd comes from Regina and with GnR hitting both cities not as many people will travel up to Saskatoon.  Also it is very, very rare for a band to play both cities so this is a real treat for myself who now gets to go to 2 shows.

Also both SK shows have the smallest population.  One city has 200 000 people and the other has about 220 000 people.  So combine both cities and about half the population of most the other shows.  If GnR was only playing Stoon that show would be sold out.  But having 2 shows split the audience.  However I am thrilled to get 2 shows

I hope to hear some radio interviews when they hit Canada. The last time around, we had a few right?

Would be cool to have the whole band in some radio studio!  ok

These numbers are for hockey, not concerts. And not just the ones in brackets that say hockey.

Winnipeg is about 10,000 for concerts per Ticketmaster (End stage setup).
The rest I'm not sure about.

Someone go correct wikipedia then..

For MTS Centre Winnipeg it says: "End-Stage Concerts: 16,170"

16,170 is assuming that the seats behind the stage are open. Trust me, it's around 10-11,000 capacity for the concert tomorrow.

Just thought I'd throw in that, compared to 02/06, the promotion seems much better. Radio has had ads going a bunch for Toronto/Hamilton and I see lots of banner ads on the Toronto Star website. Dunno if this will equate to bigger shows - Toronto is usually packed anyway - but people seem more aware that they're playing. My buddy who's broke keeps trying to win tickets Wink

Win Tickets & Backstage Passes To Any Canadian Guns N' Roses Show

Guns N RosesAlright Guns N' Roses fans, thanks to GNR guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, RockStar Weekly has the opportunity to send one lucky winner and a guest to the Canadian Guns N' Roses show of their choice on the 2010 Chinese Democracy Tour and you'll also get a pair of "after show" backstage passes to hang out once the show is over. The contest is open to fans anywhere in the world, however transportation is not supplied and is the sole responsibility of the winner.

RockStar Weekly's Guns N' Roses Contest Winner

Congratulations to C?tia de Almeida Nunes of Rio de Janeiro, who is the winner of the RockStar Weekly Guns N' Roses contest. C?tia wins a pair of tickets and backstage passes (courtesy of GNR guitarist Bumblefoot) to to the 2010 Chinese Democracy Canadian Tour February 4th show in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada at the Metro Centre. Congratulations and enjoy the show.

This was the largest contest in RockStar Weekly history and we thank you entering.

The difference between Rexal, Credit union center and even the Brandt center are the seats not the floor...at least that is my understanding.  Both the Brandt and credit union center have had NHL games played so I would think the rink size is the same.  However Rexal has more seats then Credit union center.

How are people providing updates from these shows - web, twitter?

Leaving the UK for Toronto next week, and catching 2 shows (Montreal and Toronto) - thinking of sending a few updates, (even if no one is bothered to read them, still like the idea of having my own personal tour record) - cost would come into it, I will be effectively 'roaming' for the purposes of my net connection.

Hmmm, just interested. I have a twitter, FB account and all the rest. I have total respect for those that keep us in the loop, it is awesome. Who remembers the state of technology of the first new guns shows in 2001? Ahh, my 32mb mp3 player....
