Axl sounded great but dear god are they trolling the fans.

Great show, one of the best in years but clearly the NITL tour rolls on.

On the other side ... would you really expect it would be a smart move to premiere some of the new songs in these current times? Do you think press would care? And people? How much attention could it have possibly brought these days compared to normal situation? And also do you think they could have a chance to build up on it and create even some kind of hype since their next show is on may the soonest and even that one is not really happening for sure?

I think it is a smart move not to make any radical changes in the setlist.

Again, Europe and North America were maketed as «the next chapter», not this Latin America leg.

It's surreal to be here with all the things going on in the world.

Show tonight, then we go home tomorrow.

Glad you guys were able too do the show anyway. Stay save and get home!!

You are not the first to go down this road.

But to be clear, the theory's premise is this.  The plan the whole time was to do a handful of shows that were NITL 4.0.  And then, mid-tour, introduce a entirely new stage show.

That's where we are on that.

Under the current circumstances, the only people who would pay attention to any change in the setlist/new song are the hardcore fans who frequent the forums. So I think it's better that the setlist remained as it is.

You can say mid-tour, but there’s a substantial break between the last SA show and the first Euro show. As I’ve also mentioned before, it was quite telling that they included smaller markets on this Latin American leg, which hadn’t had any NITL shows before.

It has featured on some of the promotional material I believe .  .

I don’t think so.

Only thing I can remember was a tweet from GN’R lumping all 2020 shows together while mentioning «the next chapter».

I haven’t seen any promo videos or posters for SA mentioning this.

On the flipside of that, playing one new song for those hardcore fans would go a long way.

Well at least for one day people were able to enjoy music. It must have been nice to be at the concert.  All other dates are canceled until May 20?  Hopefully everyone is safe during this uncertain times.

We all could use a distraction right now. Glad the concert took place.

We all need to remember not to let the media get us into a panic. Its serious but people need to stop hoarding toilet paper.

Could be wrong.

Yes, that’s the one. Other than that, I haven’t seen any other promos.

Sounded like a killer show from what I saw.

For all those complaining about the set list or stating now is not the time to present a new song (it’s never the right time apparently), I would ask you to consider GNR is a legacy band at this point. A killer one and my favorite band still. There may be stuff in the vault but nothing is going to happen with respect to a new album beyond fan speculation and wishful thinking and/or taking a quote from a various bandmember out of context.

GNR could do so many things ala Rolling Stones, Page/Plant, The Who, AC/DC, etc with new projects or expanded and remastered reissues but do not for whatever reason. The exception of course is the Appetite box set.

Enjoy the awesome concerts. I know I will. We still can witness an incredible band and musicians that are exceptional.

It's unfortunate that things didn't go as planned. This was supposed to be the start of a Latin American tour. But instead it was a one off.

Anyone complaining about the setlist can relax. The different songs not played last night were meant to be played on this leg. But, due to the circumstances of this turning into a one off, I guess things changed.

Stay safe!
