Thanks to The Black over at mygnr for the information!

An insider on a festival forum has a list of shows/festivals and rumors around bands. Guns N' Roses figures on that list categorized under "SURE" with shows in Barcelona and Madrid. It's not specified whether these are festival appearances or stand-alone shows. Timeframe is also not specified.

Edited to add: this insider already had information that have come true.

Have you ever checked how cheaply you can fly to Europe with Wizz Air and Ryanair for example? And have you got any idea, even if you were a poor student or unemployed, how far your oil money takes you anyway?

There's no need for the band to come to you as you can go to them beer

If you need any help with bookings I'm happy to help.

Hah, wish it was that simple. For example in my case first I'd have to probably take a day or two off from work (=money already gone), travel to the airport for 3?4 hours and pay tens of euros for that alone, take the cheap flight, buy some food, maybe get a hotel room, go to the concert, get some food, take another cheap flight back home, travel for 3?4 hours and pay for it again and so on. Not saying that it wouldn't be lots of fun, but it surely is not that cheap in the end.

Plus it's always cool to see your favourite band in your home country/city/town Smiley

It seems rather strange they would put out a clue that practically gives it away. Could be...

Green Day headlined as recently as 2013 though...

Haha.. well i havent got tickets to the Cochella or Vegas the shows, but i was very close to going. What stopped me was; work and family. I guess its more important for my kids to have a great summer holiday in Italy, then me traveling to the US to see my favorite Rock n roll band Tongue !PRIORITIES! So lets hope for europe!

True. It could not be them, but they were rumoured anyway, so would make sense. A festival like Reading is pretty limited as to who they can have headlining- there aren't that many big bands around that would fit with their criteria really. I can see that it would be Green Day again- hard to interpret that clue they put on twitter any other way really.

Also, if the fee it's rumoured GNR want is accurate, I'm not sure Reading could actually justify paying it, or afford them. Day tickets went down in price last year, so I don't think their budget can be that big.

Reading/Leeds have a 80,000-100,000 crowd don't they? If they can't afford them, would anyone else really?

Yeah, it's 90,000 apparently.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the going rate is for a festival headline slot (maybe another forum user might have an idea?) but 3 million dollars would seem a huge amount to me, to spend on one act, even if it is a headliner.

Rumor has it Coachella paid $14 million for Guns N Roses.
