Born: February 5, 1964
Rochelle, NY, USA 

Born and raised in Mamaroneck, New York, Del James moved out to Hollywood, CA at the age of 21. During his first weekend in Hollywood, Del hooked up with West Arkeen and the members of an unsigned group called Guns N' Roses. These fellows would become roommates, song writers, and life-long friends. Fifteen years have passed since their inital meeting and to this day, Del still works closely with W. Axl Rose and the current lineup of Guns N' Roses.

Del has directed music videos for bands like GUNS N' ROSES and SOUL. As a journalist he was a Senior Editor for RIP Magazine and his work has appeared in many publications including Rolling Stone. Del also released a collection of short horror stories entitled "The Language Of Fear" which is out of print. For the past few years, Del has been working on a novel entitled "A Celebration Of Pain."

I know who del james is.  I'm just wondering why you made a thread about meeting him when all you say is 'i met del james'.

Jizzo, you have been on this board forever and you are a great member, but this could be your worst post ever.  Ha.  Just kidding, but meeting a mystery man like Del James and then giving us nothing cool is non typical of you.  Please go back and make up a nice believable story about you and Del.  Please don't give us the "I just let him chat with my buddy line again..".  Ha.  Just messing with you.

I met him at the Hartford Civic Center back in '02.  He had family sitiing right in front of us at the show.  Talked to him for about 10 seconds.  I said Hi.  We talked about Thin Lizzy for 3 sentences (he had a Thin Lizzy T-shirt on). That was about it.  I wouldn't even say I had a conversation with him, really.  But he was nice, and personable, and I think a little shocked that I recognized him.
