"This claim was recently confirmed by Slash who indicated to British music magazine the New Musical Express that thethe album would be sneak released in March 2006 under the cover of a new Greatest Hits album."

From the Chinese Democracy entry on wikipedia.

I know its only Wikipedia, but what would this mean? You buy GH2 and inside is ChiDem? Maybe GH2 is a double CD with one disc being new material?Huh

I really believe that we havent heard the last of GH2.

This crackpot theory, and ones like it never cease to amaze me.
Why on earth would a record company spend $13 million on a freaking album, then not let the people know it's coming!?
I mean, get real. This is marketing 101. There is going to be no disguise for this.
When Chinese Democracy gets an official release date, everyone will know about it.
You're not going to be walking in your local music store and just come across it by accident and be surprised.
