If you could put GnR together with any member ever in each spot (i.e. drums could be Steven, Matt, Brain) obviously the only mainstay being Axl.
Mine would be
Axl-Vocals
Duff-Bass
Slash-guitar
Izzy-guitar
Brain-drums
and if I was gonna go with 3 guitarists like Axl was for a little while Robin too

Well considering all things whoever the rhytm player is in your lineup is important. Izzy did alot of songwriting, and gilby wrote alot of cool shit on his solo albums so I think it's a factor one should consider.

Every member is important. I don't see how you could only care about Slash Duff and Axl

My perfect line up?

It'll include no guitars ( why having  guitar player where you could have 3 keyboardists...) trompet, sax, and background vocals....

It'll include Tracy ( lead singer) + Dizzy + Teddy + Roberta ( back up singer) + The Horn sexy section and Chris Pittman

Izzy is an awesome song writer and Steven is a great drummer. I agree all five members are equally important. Take one of them away and it's not the same. No other version of Guns N Roses could compare

That was Paris, June 6, 1992.

How do you cover your own song?  "Mama Kin" was written by Steven Tyler and recorded/released by Aerosmith in 1972.
