I inadvertently discovered GNR because of the Dream Police. Back in 1992, I was working way too much overtime and I had no idea who GNR were. I met this guy in California who looked like a rock star with his long flowing hair. He was from San Diego and he and his friends did security work and they called themselves  THE DREAM POLICE. Robbie wanted to take me to a GNR concert and I'm like, WHO ARE GUNS AND ROSES? So I watch a rockumentary on MTV and immediately fall in love with AXL! He and his friends just stared at me when I was rolling around on the floor watching the November Rain video!I'm Like. Axl is so gorgeous, just look at those lips, those eyes, that hair, that body!

They were the first i believe. There was a huge boycott about it too since it had been previously used only for sports.

This is the second time for GnR (i mean Axl) to have a show in Budokan. The fist time was in 1988. Although the show is scheduled on a weekday, many Japanese fans seem to appreciate a show in Budokan, probably because many have been disappointed first by knowing that two shows in Tokyo area would be in Makuhari (not everybody's favorite in many ways. )

I will go to both Makuhari shows and the Budokan show. But my expectation is a bit higher in the Budokan show as I assume that Budokan would probably mean something special for Axl as well. (Personally still hoping that Izzy would turn up in Japan shows although I have nothing against the current GnR. As you know Izzy came to Japan a few times in his solo tour.... )
