I can see the fascination but I think those are just to screen dodgy bits in the pics..

reznor and manson said that within the last 2 years i believe

can you elaborate on that? a quote or a link would be appreciated.

taking in trent's remarks on robin not joining NIN tour, some people here take against him. needless to say some take against axl.

nonlinear for instance there might have been a guy holding the camera in the mirror of the first pic.
Maybe they didn't want people to see what was actually written on the board in the second one.

ppbebe, the axl head pic in the mirror was taken from the 2002 VMAs (I beleive).  someone had found the original pic on the net and put it next to the mirror pic, and it was clear that it was the same pic of axl.

I guess i'm still confused.  are you saying it's not axl, or that the sign and axl's head were put in the pictures to cover things up?

why would buckethead be in the crowd then?

and why would the new chinesedemocracy.jpg be on the year zero site?

the latter. there must have been other things in the original pics when taken. for some reasons they didn't want to show them.
no idea about the new chinesedemocracy.jpg.

trent and co. did all that as a part of a bet - probably having something to do with "gnr" fans getting worked up over every little detail on the internet and holding out hope that not only the album will one day be released but that there is some conspiracy in the works as well.  there will never be a nin/"gnr" collaboration and trent is not a "gnr" fan.  he (and his live band mates) have criticized axl, the band, and their music on many occasions.  trent is a fan of new cutting-edge music and makes new cutting-edge music - i can't imagine him having any genuine interest in a nostalgia band from the eighties that personifies so much of what he hates in the music business.

At yearzero.nin.com there are some hidden pictures with the album mixing in progress: img/28.html, img/39.html, img/12.html en img/07.html.

Add them: 28+39+12+07= 86

Now enter: yearzero.nin.com/img/86.html

Et Voil?, you get a page with the missing picture: albumcover.jpg

Yesterday there was a new link: img/19.html.

86+19=105

Enter: yearzero.nin.com/img/105.html

And you get another page with a missing picture titled: chinesedemocracy.jpg.

In one word: Hilarious. In 4 words: Trent's fucking with us.

How the fuck did you figure that out?

Well the plot thickens,

a new Nine Inch Nails album, Year Zero, will be released on April 17th.

At the same time we are expecting a release date for CD some time around late-March, April, May...?

After the release of Year Zero, NIN will go on tour in May to Australia and Japan, so Gn'R wouldn't be the only band to release an album and not "hit the big markets" meaning Europe or US as some said that they should do...

NIN just toured for a long time, and took a break to finish this new record. They hit the US and Europe quite extensively (i saw them in Philly 3 times).

If Axl could get off his ass to accomplish 1/10th of what Trent does, we'd be in good shape.

trent realized that he's getting older and is pleasing his fans as much as he can. that's why his fanbase all loves him, he cares about the fans a lot.
