There are a few days gap in between those dates too, perhaps allowing for second shows to go on sale in some of those cities?

Looks like allowing for 2nd shows at Sydney cos the Hodern Pavillion is a lot smaller than the Entertainment Centre. Possible 2nd show in Melbourne too.
I'll be at Sydney and Brisbane.
We should have a meet for the gigs. I'll be travelling to Brisbane alone. I know Clintron (or whatever he is calling himself these days) is in Brisbane so hopefully I can meet up with someone there.

ticketek.com.au are selling the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane gigs. Guess that ticketmaster.com.au will sell the Adelaide and Perth gigs. No idea on price yet.

The Doors of the 21st Century Feat. Ian Austbury (ex-The Cult).

Click on member log in.. enter your email you gave them and password you nominated. As soon as you sign in.. there is an FAQ explaining everything. I have copied and pasted below
Q. How can I be part of the Velvet Revolver pre-sale?
A. By becoming or already being a member of
www.frontiertouring.com
. If you're not already a member all you have to do is join the mailing list and follow the steps. Once you have picked your Frontier password you will be able to immediately login to the members section whenever you like.
Q.When can I buy tickets?
A. You will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets between noon Wednesday 15 December (AEDST) and noon Thursday 16 December 2004(AEDST) or while tickets last. So noon AEDST basically means that in your state/country the time will be:
New South Wales: 12:00pm
New Zealand: 2:00pm
Queensland: 11:00am
South Australia: 11:30am
Victoria: 12:00pm
Western Australia: 9:00am
Q. How do I buy tickets?
A. We will post a step-by-step guide shortly as to how you can purchase tickets during the pre-sale times for your particular city. Please note you will only be able to purchase tickets within the designated time period.
Q. Can I just go direct to the ticketing agent website and access the pre-sale?
A. You will need to go through the special hidden link that we will provide on the member's page.
Q. If I'm buying through Ticketek do I have to be a My Ticketek member?
A. Yes, you will need to be a My Ticketek member as the Ticketek website requires all internet purchasers to have a password. Please note that your My Ticketek password will be different from your VELVET REVOLVER pre-sale password so you will need to have both passwords handy when you go to make your transaction. We recommend you join in advance (it is free of charge)via
www.ticketek.com
to ensure you experience no delays on the day.
Q. If I'm buying through Ticketmaster do I have to be a Ticketmaster7 member?
A. Yes, you will need to be a Ticketmaster7 member as the Ticketmaster website requires all internet purchasers to have a password. Please note that your Ticketmaster7 password will be different from your VELVET REVOLVER pre-sale password so you will need to have both passwords handy when you go to make your transaction. We recommend you join in advance (it is free of charge) via
www.ticketmaster7.com
to ensure you experience no delays on the day.
Q. What sort of tickets will I be able to buy?
A. Frontier Members will be able to access tickets through the pre-sale prior to the general public. Please note that for the pre-sale we will only be selling GENERAL ADMISSION FLOOR tickets. If you wish to purchase reserved seated tickets (where applicable), these will be available through the public on-sale on Friday 17 December
Please note that the Sydney & Auckland show is entirely GA - no reserved tickets exist.
Q. Is this an all-ages show?
A. Yes these concerts are all-ages .
Q. Is there a limit to how many tickets I can purchase?
A. Yes. The standard ticketing agency limits will apply for each concert. Please refer to the individual agencies for more details.
Q. Is the pre-sale available by phone or the ticketing outlets?
A. No. The pre-sale will only be available via the Internet. Please do not try to purchase via phone or the outlets as they will not be able to assist you.
Q. When will I get my tickets?
A. Ticket delivery will differ from ticketing agent to ticketing agent. You should contact them directly to ascertain how long your tickets may take.
Q. Who will Velvet Revolvers special guest be?
A. Our touring coordinators are currently working with Velvet Revolver to finalise a support for this tour. As soon as someone is confirmed, we will post the information on our website.
Q. How much are tickets?
A. As booking fees differ from ticketing agent to ticketing agent, the ticket prices will be different in every city. You should check direct with your relevant ticketing agent to ascertain what the price may be. Prices will be posted before you purchase your tickets.
Q. I've logged onto the pre-sale and I can't get through to buy tickets. Can you help me?
A. Unfortunately technology can only handle so much at times. As with all pre-sales and public on-sales the ticketing websites sometimes experience difficulties due to the sheer number of people hitting the same page at once. We recommend that you just keep trying until you get through. We regret to advise that Frontier takes no responsibility for technical difficulties - these are not only beyond our control but please also be aware the ticketing websites are separate entities to The Frontier Touring Company. Our site merely works as a portal to a special page for the pre-sale.

Matt88.. basically you MUST be a Frontier and Ticketek (cos you are in Melbourne, other cities may be ticketmaster) member.. you access the pre-sale by a link when you sign in to Frontier.. and that will take you to a special ticketek page.

Hi there all!! Cant wait for the Sydney show, only a couple of days away!
I was wondering if you guys have any idea where they'd stay?!
I'm thinking either Sheraton or Novotel?!
It'd be awesome if the Doors were in the very same hotel!!!
Cheers, take care.

1st Sydney show review

Here?s the setlist from last nights Sydney show at the Hordern Pavillion:
Sucker Train Blues
Do It for the Kids
Headspace
Superhuman
Crackerman
Illegal I
Fall To Pieces
Dirty Little Thing
Big Machine
It's So Easy
Sex Type Thing
Set Me Free
----------
Used to Love Her
You Got No Right
----------
Mr. Brownstone
Slither
And here?s my review:
Probably the best concert I?ve ever been to. Seeing Slash, Duff & Matt up on stage was so surreal, I?ve been waiting to see these guys live for over 10 years, and they did not disappoint.
I was 2 rows back from the front on Slash?s side of the stage and the crowd was absolutely nuts, sweaty people pushing and shoving from everywhere, the entire crowd was so into it. Slash said that this was the best audience Velvet Revolver had played to. He couldn?t seem to keep the grin off his face all night as he ran back and forth across the stage.
The whole band was like that too, they all had so much energy and scurried across the stage, making sure that no matter where you were sitting, you got a glimpse of them.
Scott talked to the crowd a fair bit, he said something about dedicating It?s So Easy to his wife, but in a jokingly kind of way. He is an amazing front man too, he definitely knows how to command a crowd, and if I had doubts about him fronting VR before, he certainly proved his worth last night.
I couldn?t believe how tight the band was, Slash made a few mistakes in a couple of solos, but overall he was amazing.
They played the usual extended versions of songs that have been previously mentioned - Set Me Free, Slither (which sounded like the version played at El Rey before Contraband was released) & Illegal I with Slash?s talk box solo. Slash also played some really cool acoustic stuff before going into You Got No Right as well.
Matt did a short drum solo similar to his Tokyo 92 solo, before teasing us with the intro to You Could Be Mine and then heading into Mr Brownstone.
Aussie support band The Screaming Jets were great too, they got the crowd pretty fired up, playing a few hits along with lesser known tracks. They?re probably the best band to have playing as warm-up for VR.
Overall, the performance was nothing short of amazing, I can?t wait to see the band again tonight!

Havent got time for a complete review but:
- I was FRONT ROW CENTRE in line with the drum. Scott was standing above me the entire show!
- Duff (not Scott) dedicated It's So Easy to his wife and following show mid song when he saw her at the side of the stage, ran and kissed her
- Scott is a ROCK GOD! Unbelievable front man
- The crowd was full of total cocks who think that pushing those at the front row will get them closer. A lot didnt even know the songs and were there just to be total dicks.
- Screaming Jets ive concluded are average.. did anyway see the lead singers mouth foaming in the solos?! That guy was totally fucked!
BEST SHOW IVE EVER BEEN TO! VR show us what rock n roll is all about! I'm a Weiland fan for life!
Ive got 30 photos from front row centre.. will post 2moro!

Woops, my mistake, I couldn't see who was talking at that stage as I was being crushed probably by this same dickheads that were crushing you!
I'm a big Screaming Jets fan, so my review of them is probably biased, but they have had better gigs than what they played last night. I think everyone was mainly there just to see VR, so don't write them off just because of that.

Sounds like you guys had a good time.
I wouldn't be surprised if you get a bonus song tonight as the last song of the set.

We got pretty much the same setlist at the 2nd Sydney show last night, no surprises unfortunately, but the band was amazing again!
I'll write up another review when I get a chance.

I'll just quickly add something I thought was really funny at last night's show - there was some guy in the front row holding a sign up during VR's set that said something about Axl Rose, and Scott absolutely ripped the guy to pieces, it was hilarious!
He said, "you're disrespecting me and the band and the audience you motherf**ker, you wasted your money if that's who you came to see, why don't you just f**k off punk! If you wanted to come see some fat balding guy who wears a wig (obviously a dig at Axl!) come back in 10 years and we'll see..."

My photos turned out pretty cool, from a disposable, will post as soon as possible.
Forgot to mention, I caught Matt's drum stick but had it taken from my hand!

That's a shame. Well, it makes the London shows I saw a bit more special.

How nice.
Where are all the people, who think Axl's comments about Slash and the old band in 2001-2002 were childish/stupid, condemning this?
He's right though. It's disrespectful to shout for Axl during a VR show, and it's the same when you shout for Slash during a GN'R show.

After the 2nd show we waited out back for the band, I saw Slash and Duff leave but when Matt came out he was surrounded but about 7 to 10 chicks. He is a Fuckin Rockstar

Come on, it's all about sex, drugs (well, maybe not drugs) and rock n roll!
I like those shirts, it reminds me of old GN'R AFD-era shirts.
