at Sam Goody in the Staten Island mall, Guns N' Roses was listed under release dates for this year. When I asked the sales person, all she said was "it's coming out this year."

It probably means nothing. Several online music sites (previously posted here) have had it listed tentatively listed for late 2004. But it is intriguing nonetheless.

they said this in 2002 and 2003 but hey they have to be correct one  year right

I'll expand on what I said before, now that I have 10 minutes to myself.

I went in the store, and my friend points out that Guns N' Rose - TBD is listed under this years releases. I feel he was bullshitting me, like he has a habit of doing, so I shrugged it off and didn't pay attention, until he literally pointed it out. We asked if it was an old paper, maybe from the "Great Hits" or something. She informed us it was brand new, and that she just put it up yesterday. I said " But it says GNR " which I will admit, I was doubtful. And she said " Yeah, apparently the NEW GNR are finally releasing the album..." I kind of got excited here. She knew it was called "Chinese Democracy" which was more than I even gave her credit for, and she seemed knowledgable. Though she isa Sam Goody employee who knows jackshit, but hey, any news is good news to me. Except for when I found out I had skin cancer, but any GNR news about the album is good news.

So maybe by the end of the year we will have it. Let's see where this goes, maybe Mysterious Poster knows something we don't...

remember when the Drudge Report said last year the CD would be out by Thanksgiving??  Its just curious why Sam Goody would have information on this...  a release date has not been announced so Sam Goody knows nothing...

I remember seeing in dec of 2001 there being Guns N Roses TBD on the giant upcomming releases poster at sam goodies and i'm sure it's been on many other stores before.........doens't mean anything.

Sorry man, it's a bad thing but you have to be strong! You must be happy with VR too, it's a great band. And you'll see CD as soon as you think (I hope). Let's hope that this store has something real...  ok Smiley

Who even knows if it will be called CD,what if Axl decided against that title for a new album and he plays a trick on us all and calls the album something else,it wouldn't surprise me nervous

Then what the hell the was the Greatest Hits stuff? It was on amazon.com way before any release date announced.
