Guns N' Roses fans, get ready to bid on several one-of-a-kind, exclusive autographed items through eBay and help a family get their lives back together. Here's bassist Tommy Stinson with the details...

ATTENTION GN'R FANS!!!!!!

I'm reaching out to you because I'm helping out with a benefit show (www.krugeraid.com] that was in Waseca, Minn., on June 9 at the Waseca Fairgrounds. It was a day-long event of music, food and family activities. On February 3, 2007, my sister-in-law, Hilary Kruger, and her family were devastated in a horrible act of violence when a stranger broke into their home and murdered her husband, Tracy, and Alec, one of her two young sons.

Hilary is still in critical condition as I write this. We are trying to raise money to get her and her son, Zak, back on their feet, as they have a long and very difficult road ahead of them. Here's a link to the story: http://www.startribune.com/467/story/978914.html

Golden Smog and Soul Asylum, as well as some very special guests, DJs, etc., played this show. If I wasn't currently on tour with GN'R, I would have played on this bill. A lot of my close friends performed, and I personally would like to thank you all. I am also helping to coordinate a couple of eBay auctions.

The auctions feature a Robin Finck Les Paul guitar that was used in concert, and hockey and baseball jerseys signed by ALL the current band members of GN'R. All proceeds go directly to Hilary.

I'm extremely grateful to my bandmates for their help and support. I would be very appreciative of your support as well. Thanks for listening. It means a lot to me and my family.

Thanks
T.S.

These are the items available on eBay:

# GN'R Autographed Robin Finck Gibson Les Paul Guitar
# Three GN'R Autographed Star Logo Hockey Jerseys, all separately autographed (sizes M, M, L)
# One GN'R Autographed Asian Logo Baseball Jersey (size L)
# One GN'R Autographed Roses and Pistols Logo Baseball Jersey (size L)

I'm so sorry that happened to Tommy's family - I just hope everything gets sold for as much money as any of you guys have, and that the ones that can't afford or lose in the auction give the money they would've spent anyway. A horrible thing to happen, I hope things only go better for all members of the family involved. My thoughts are with them  Cry

Concerning the auction: I'm sure if you write a comment on the eBay auction asking if they ship worldwide, they'll be happy to do that. It might cost you a little more, but if you're gonna spend money on that guitar, you might not bother the extra $2.

Just want to say my condolensces to Tommy and his family. This is a horrible thing to have happen.
But its nice to see so many people willing to help out and get the family back on their feet.

I tried bidding on a few things but they all jumped way out of my price range. Sad
Congrats to everyone who does win though! Esspecially the winner of that guitar.

So is this the real reason all those concerts were cancelled and Tommy didn't play at the fashion event? This incident puts everything that happened into perspective. That's such a terrible thing to happen. I hope they got the guy who done it. Shame Tommy missed the benefit gig though.

I'd love that guitar - whoever gets its it is very lucky.

This is definitely why, considering the timing, Tommy missed the Versace show.

It is not "definitely" why.....the only definite answer is that he fell down the stairs. The Versace show was in early Feb.

The Versace show was in early Feb and the news article quoted in the GNR article is dated Feb 06 2007.? They did say that Tommy had a family emergency. I would definetly call this a family emergency? Sad

My thoughts are with the family as they try to heal both physically and mentally? Cry

Correct. Then, the tour was booked. Then, they postponed the start of the tour on April 11th-2 months after the Versace show. Why can't we just believe the band when they say they postponed the tour due to Tommy's injury? 2 separate events.

First of all, thanks Tommy that you decided to share this very personal story with your fans ?love

It is extremely sad and horrifying what have happend to your familly ?Cry I was devastated when I read that news ?Cry

For sure your sister-in-law, her 10-year-old son as well as the late husband and second son will be in thoughts & prayers of your fans ?love

It's good to know that your sister-in-law is gradually getting better. Wish her much health and paceful recovery!

E-Bay bid is a great idea for the fans to suport the Kruger Aid? ok, but why didn't you guys think at all of your FEMININE fans? Undecided. ?Adding a few babydoll tees signed by all band members would be cool ?ok (now it looks a bit ?sexist, I would say ?hihi)

Well... I can admit I was wrong..BUT... It had less than 7000 visitors in 10 days... I watched a a beat up  P.O.S. Les Paul Special a week back have nearly 12000 visitors in as many days. I figured more people would care, Whoever got the guitar got a deal in reality... If I could of came up with more cash I would of paid more  for it...It's worth more than 5,100.00

absolutely...i was planning to go up to 6.000, but with 25 minutes left, it wasn't looking like it was going to cross the 5.000 threshold....which is where i was at....and then, in the last 4 seconds, i got nailed by $100....there just wasn't enough time to respond with a new bid....

still, when that album drops, this guitar will be worth at least three times as much, whoever got it, has definitely go themselves an investment worth keeping for a while....well done.

Ive bought n sold over 300 gibsons on ebay and many have been signed. The truth is signed guitars are rarely worth much over the value of the guitar itself. Especially when its a high end guitar to start with.

If you want to invest in a guitar then get a vintage les paul. Many goldtops and juniors are affordable at around $10,000, and they increase far more in value than a guitar like this

Did a user from one of the boards actually win the auction?

Yes I know the person that got the jersey for $1000. Not sure if he wants his name out there. But he is a very happy camper. He was happy to help out a good cause!!

That'll be me!

I'm not going to pretend that the cause was my prime motivation.  Though it's very satisfying that the amount I paid is going to help some people get back on their feet who really need it.  The story behind why these items were made available, and the wider appeal, is frankly astounding.  It really makes you think how an unexpected random act of violence can desecrate lives, and it could happen to any of us.

They are accepting donations over at http://www.krugeraid.com if you can spare a few dollars to help them out.  It's all done by Paypal so it's secure, or alternatively there is a postal address for cheques (or checks if you are American!).

I know it's a little late - only 3 hours left on the auction, but Robin's guitar is back on eBay for $5,000. It sold in 2007 for approx $5300...evidently it hasn't appreciated much in value.

i had my eye on it first time round, and lost out in the last 30 seconds of the auction purely because the guy who got it had a faster internet connection... rant

didn't even know it went up for sale again...
