I usually tried to avoid the 3 songs after Don't Damn Me on UYI but I actually listened to Coma for the first time and I actually really like it. I like the beats to it along with the heart thumping.

What do you guys think?

Perfect ending to the album. Builds and builds and builds, then it's the perfect payoff.

I can't believe it. Coma is one of the greatest GN'R songs ever. And I think you should listen Bad Apples and Dead Horse more, cause that songs worth that, too.

Sorry, I didn't mean that it was the first time I listened to Coma, I meant it was the first time I had listened to it all the way through and really payed attention to it.

Although now, I do agree that it is one of the best g' n r songs.

Crazy - dead horse and coma are possible the best songs on it.....

Coma takes time to appreciate because it doesn't have the guitars to hook u in as most other songs do - lyrically its probably the most impressive of all GNR's songs - it can be related to in so many ways and at so many levels, a real triumph

Love Coma, but I felt the solo leaved somethin to be desired I thought Slash could do so much more.  But Coma is a GNR classic.

Yeah, I really like Coma, I have listened to it 7 times already today and I had only listened to it about 2 times before today.

I think I like Coma because I would rather be in a coma than that duplex I live in.

: ok:Coma is totally brilliant, I work in a pediatric intensive care unit and this song really captures what it  is like when we run a code when someone has an arrest where they stop breathing, lose their heart rate and have to be resuscitated.

So, is it kind of ruff working in that type of enviorment or do you not let it bother you? Cause I probably coulden't do that.

coma is something else
i dont listen to it a lot, cause i don't wanna ruin it.
but i don't think you can ruin this song
you can't have it your head, you know, you have to listen to it, to be IN it.
this song is over genius, it is something non-gnr fans will never understand, same thing as estranged, these are the 2 songs i dont want people to know.

coma is a masterpiece. so long. so changing. so perfect.
coma is the 7 SAMURAI of music.

When Slash and Duff were on MTV2's Gonzo recently the presenter, Zane Lowe, asked them what song they were truely the most proud of and they both said Coma.

It is one of the most unsung GNR masterpieces! ok

Yeah, to be honest, Dead Horse is just an slight above average song for me but Coma definetely is brilliant. Actually on UYI I, Bad Obessesion, Don't Cry, Coma & You Ain't The 1st are my favorite songs.

From the first few bars, You Ain't The 1st sounded like country to me but once I heard the entire thing, I really liked it.

Working in an ICU is intense but rewarding, you just have to be able to work under pressure and expect the unexpected. The nice thing is that you have all the emergency equipment right there at the bedside. I am also a very intense and hyper person so it is a good way to channel my energy. and i have to do work that i feel makes a difference. the worst part is dealiong with my coworkers sometimes. Your podmate can make or break your day.

Yeah, I can relate.

But really, my a lot of my co-workers, I am related to and it's in an office so it's pretty kick-back here.

Coma was in my top three songs on the album when I first got it when GN'R were at their peak.

I love Dead Horse.. but Bad Apples, unless I haven't heard it in a long time, is usually skipped past.

For anyone that cares, a clip from 'Coma' was used on BBC 1's Top Gear last night.

From memory, it was when they were introducing the new Ford GT40.

I just can't get into Coma...I've listened to others' opinions on here and gave it man chances but I can't see it being even in the top 10 of GnR songs.

Lyircally, it is probably number 1, simply brilliant. Musically though, its good in the first half of the song. I know everyone says it has an amazing ending but I disagree. This song could have been so much more in my opinion. What is the point of having such genius lyrics if they are rambled and muttered up to the point where noone can understand them. Also, I know given its subject matter, maybe the intention was to make it sound chaotic, but all the melody was sucked out of it by the end...and it just sounds like some guy talking really fast...except mumbling.

By the way...that one line "Please understand me" is probably one of the greatest sounding parts from the GnR catalogue, imo. It's beautiful and haunting at the same time...from that point onward, the song just gets worse. I hope I can change my mind and appreciate this song more.
