Velvet Revolver Pre-production? ? ? ?

I worked all last week with Scott Weiland on pre-production of the new Velvet Revolver record (writing, arranging, vocals and keys).

For all of you who are confused about the VR record and the Weiland solo record, it is possible to work on 2 records at once. It's not easy but it is do-able. 2 weeks ago we finished a new solo sw song. And last week we finished pre-prduction on 2 VR songs. So we're kind of going back and forth.

Which record will come out first? It's anyones guess. No one knows yet. It depends on a lot of factors: who finishes first, which record company pushes hardest, and what sw decides he wants.

Just trying to shed some light. I noticed that some of you seemed confused.

Havn't they been saying Pre-Production for weeks (months?) now. Does pre-production normally take this long, they were ment to start going into the studio in April, surely they should be passed this by now.

yea seriously! I'd actually rather see them take their time even if it means another year. I just get a feeling they are half-ASSing it and when the album finally comes out in the spring its going to get old fast again but I hope not. I'm expecting something closer to the level of gnr/stp

If the were half-assing it, we'd have the album out by now. Obviously the reason it's taking so long is they're taking their time to make something great.

well!!! REALLY GOOD NEWS!!!!! a really great album is in progress, in a few months we will be able to hear it.
And i want to hear scott solo album too. Barbarella was an interesting solo album to hear, very personal and experimental and with a high feelin. 2007 is goin' to start really well  :beer:with those albums, and probably Chinese democracy, i crose my fingers

The album was called 12 Bar Blues  Cheesy  Barbarella was an awesome song off of it.  Desperation No. 5 too.  I really liked Scott's solo album too and if any of you don't have his cover of Depeche Mode's "But Not Tonight" then get it right now.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
