Remember when your son told you he was gay? Wasn't so bad...Now we have to deal with the fact that with only eight tuesdays left and no CD in sight...it doesn't look good for 2006.

haha ninja. nice way to put it WeHeldTogether.

we need to wait until january 2007 before we start coming to terms with anything. i think in the last 2 weeks alone things have been very crazy. look, before anything else, remember about that Harley ad with "better" on it. As soon as that clip comes out, that's it they can't turn back (unless they recall commercials). people are going to hear that song, or they're going to hear about the ad with the new GNR song, and they're going to want to know where to get it, where to hear it, and I don't think management is going to be extremely keen about people searching around only to find rough incomplete studio recordings. Once that harley davidson ad hits, that will be the beginning of something. whether it is a release date, a single, an exclusive streaming/download of some sort, or the album...

Yes, he'll appear inside our houses and yell "MOTHA FUCKAS, CHINESE DEMOCRACY!" and then start chucking copies of the album and throw a smoke bomb on the ground and dissapear.

I BET THATS WHY THIS ALBUM HASN'T COME OUT IN SO LONG
THEY ARE PERFECTING THIS IDEA!!

It may come out still, but it is sad to realize that even if it does it will be with a wimper compared to the grand arrival I think most of us thought it would get. With the proper marketing campaign this could have been a monstrosity upon arrival, instead it looks like it will just show up one day like its no big deal.

I gotta say, if anyone is an expert on time slipping away without anything actually getting done, it would be Gerald Ford...

but the genious of that is IF the album is a hit and is high on the charts for awhile then peopel liek you cant say it was because of all the money the band threw at promotion etc.....

kinda ballsy when you think about it

the music will do the talking!

If it was to come out in 2006, we'd of had a release date by now.

I suspect the no marketing campaign is more due to a lack of marketing budget than a conscious choice to not let anyone know it is even available in stores to buy.

If the onus to fund a promo campaign some how has fallen on Axl's shoulders, it may explain why there has been absolutely none of it. It would also be consistent with the rumors we have heard for a great while now that he had been financially cut off from the label, and was responsible for getting the album finished himself.
