Does the walker choose the path?

I just saw this over at MYGNRFORUM posted by Madison. Thought you guys maybe interested! Mike

Merck Mercuriadis, CEO of Sanctuary Group and GNR's manager, responded to the published report that stated Sanctuary plans to sell the company's music publishing business. He said the GNR rights aren't for sale.

"Axl's catalogue would not be included," he said.

Why would they consider selling band's publishing rights but not GNR's? Very strange.

I wander whether there would be many buyers.

Of course they can. If it's theirs, they can sell it.

It is strange. Why would they sell all their publishing rights except one band? They must plan on really using the GNR songs. Probably more video games, movies, commercials, etc. Sanctuary has some decent bands on their roster. You would think GNR wouldn't be the only ones they would keep.

There may be issues with the court case that would also detract a buyer.

Do they say they'd sell all their publishing rights except one band?

It seems unlikely doesn't it, especially if they need the cash.

Sanctuary bought the rights for twenty years. If they sold their time share, it wouldn't be permanent.

That means there's a good chance of the album coming out by 2025. Wicked!
