Go for it, its a unique opportunity.  You can always go GA or good seats next time.  I'm all in favor of different perspectives.

it all depends on you I suppose.  I like to sing a long at the top of my lungs and feed off the crowds energy, but don't like dealing with crowd surfers and pushing people (i'm old haha).  I like to go for good seats.

I've been in similar scenarios with sporting events, approached them with trepidation, but always ended up having a great time.  I say, "Definitely go for it."  If you win, go; have a drink or two but don't get hammered; and sing along if you feel like it.
