Anyone around here like them? They're one of my favorite bands, behind GN'R and Iron Maiden. I'm more of a fan of Deris than Kiske on vocals, and I think they've only gotten better since Deris joined the group. Their best album in my opinion is Better Than Raw, but it's a close race, considering that Hello has a lot of great stuff. Your thoughts?

Awesome Band! Only got into them recently i'm still busy getting their albums...

...Keeper of the Seven Keys The Legacy is great track for track.  They seem to release albums that feel like a full story, not just individual songs, really good stuff ok

Wooa I can see theres no too much pumkin heads on the board, Im a great fan of Helloween since 95, I also like better Deris voice than Kiske's yet i think the legacy Michi left was great, my fave album is Master of The Rings, which was my first album i bought from them.
I jut bought Keeper 3 and i gotta say its very good but is not a keeper sound and i gues what Weiki want is too aproach to a new kinda of sound, cause the Dark Ride was the last album that was very dark and then came rabbits and it was very happy and melodic not like Dark  ok

I haven't been able to find KotSK: The Legacy yet.  no It's a shame that they're not too popular here in America.

I've always loved them and I've seen them live 3 times, BUT I've totally lost interest in them these last years.

All new members has just ruined it for me and I really don't like anything after Better Than Raw (which is excellent). The Dark Ride has some songs that are OK, but they just don't do it for me anymore...unfortunately.

Used to listen to Master of the Rings and Time of the Oath all the time about 10 years ago... those two are brilliant albums, especially MotR. Never really got into the older stuff, though Halloween is a great track.

Well yeah, The new members tend to bring new stuff and not the old sound of helloween but I really think that Gropow wasnt too involved in the last album, I think Uli was a great lost, but listening Keeper 3 is promising, Sacha did a great job specially in Invisible man and Pleasure drone and Dani is ok, I only hope he can be a good replacement for Uli wich also made great songs like A million to one and Mr. Torture  ok

I love the 90's period with great albums like Pink Bubbles go Ape, Master of the Rings, Time of the Oath and Better than Raw!!
I like Darkride also, the older stuff is either amazing or horrible. =)

Me?

Those (rabbits and legacy) are kinda weak but I dig them ok. Im talking bout the 80's period, I know there are some amazing songs like keeper and helloween and future world and so on and so forth but the 1st  cd and some filler stuff to me is horrible thats all  Cheesy

Well about the 1st album, yes they have some fillers, me personally I think ride the sky and phantoms of death and guardians are fillers, but for helloween fans which I am people like those songs, I personally think that the first album was bad produced, and couldn't get to know the escense of the band, they got a new Master colletion with Helloween CD remaster, so I check it out and it sound way lot better than the original, I think the diference is the production.
The least album I like is chameleon cause is quite a solo album from each one of them, which in last febrary interview Weiki and Markus told.

Walls of Jericho is their best album, and Ride the Sky owns you.

Hehehe yes I understand most hardcore helloween fans love the early stuff, I agree with better production some of the old stuff (Walls of Jericho) would be better.
I agree chameleon is the weakest.

I think ride the sky is quite boring, and personaly i think is not the best from Jericho album.
There are classics that I would like to hear like murderer, victim of fate, judas and Heavy Metal is the Law.
Even though for me the best album easily is Better than Raw, I think with Jericho Helloween open a new ground of music and influenced a lot to modern Power Metal and Speed Metal.

Anyway listen to this  Wink

Many fans still miss him. Michael Kiske once was the energetic frontman of Helloween with the unique voice. Now he?s preparing to record an accousting versions of all the beloved classics.

Ex-Helloween singer Michael Kiske has announced that he will rearrange and re-record all of the songs that he wrote with his former band for an upcoming CD, to be released next year through Frontiers Records.

Commented Kiske: "Since I always need a bit of time to get another (good) record written. I talk with Frontiers Records right now about a full acoustic CD with all my old Helloween songs re-arranged. Serafino (owner of Frontiers Records) had this idea and I like it very much. But we are still sorting the deal out. I think this is a very good thing to do, because it shows people how those songs can also sound. And I still like most of them. But it will be very different!"

Michael Kiske's latest solo album, simply entitled "Kiske", was released in May via Frontiers Records.

Good news Pumking heads Cheesy

End of January I'll go down to Tenerife for a production-meeting with HELLOWEEN for their new album, before beginning of February, I'll start recording the new PRIMAL FEAR album and in April I'm gonna be in with [AXEL RUDI PELL] for some recordings." // Charlie Bauerfeind
