I was at that show, it's fuckin' great to see it again (or parts of it as I haven't had enough time to watch the whole thing yet). Thanks GN'R, after all the fuck ups and all those months the concert finally got released!

I watched the first 2 hours last night. Better than I expected! Really wanted to go to a show, honestly I haven't had that feeling for a while.

LOVE the way Axl sings the chorus of Shacklers! One error and a big one! Sometimes you can't hear Bumblefoot's guitar during solos.

The quality is incredible. Axl sounds pretty good. People shouldn't complain about the lack of rasp. The last time Axl sang raspless was the 2002 tour. I honestly think he's singing clean to save his voice for recording. From what I've read, GN'R recorded a lot between 2002 and 2006, by the time the NY 2006 shows comes about Axl sounded great with a beautiful combination of rasp and clean vocals, which I think was due to Axl's parts on CD being finished (mostly). So, honestly I think he has been or will be recording vocals very soon. I really Hope I'm right.

VH1, and others, probably paid to be able to show it on TV. Why do you think you should get it for free on Youtube before that?

Enjoy regular TV programing while you can. It'll probably go the way of VHS, tapes and fax machines soon anyway.  Wink

Might come in handy if you need to brush off pyro dust from the instrument in question? Smiley

Hopefully it will be released on VOD or something, because most people won't be able to see it (except USA and Japan for TV, and a few Northern European countries for theaters).

I guess most fans will download the torrents or whatever, since it's not available for purchase. The band should have made it available on their web site or something!

However, they probably got paid up front now. Same as with the best buy deal. + They can probably release it if they want to later.

From what I've seen so far from this show, it's a top notch quality taping and the performance is mindblowing. I told everyone that GN'R was one fire towards the end of the short UK run, and then onto Rotterdam and Paris.

Probably the best I've ever seen the band live.  drool

So you pay for the tool and get what you can steal with it for free?

Isn't that like paying for a screwdriver and getting the car for free because you can steal it?  Tongue

The few clips I'v seen of this looks great! Can't wait to get the whole gig! I just moved, so I'm not online at my new house yet.  Sad
Hopefully that'll sort it self out in the next few days. Smiley

Us kids/young adults are pretty much used to or "demand" instant access to music, movies, TV-shows etc etc.

Sure GNR tried to act as if they are in 2012/2013 with plans of streaming/VOD'ing this gig. And to give them some credit, they HAVE done it lately, to the benefit of fans worldwide. But this time, VH1's old fashion business model could prolly write them a bigger check. Thus making starved fans wait....
If GNR choose to distribute this gig into fragmented corners of the world. They are asking for piracy. People's frustration with big companies refusing to leave the comfort of their old business models, in the end brought us services like Spotify, Netflix, HBO Go (and HBO Nordic here in Scandinavia). Personally, I pay for all these services. And so do millions of people!

For many fans (the majority I believe), It's not a question of getting stuff for free. It's a question of getting stuff!

Is making a copy or reproduction of a copy or a reproduction of an original work, classified as stealing in your country?

It's not in mine...
