And the show must go on Grin

I am a little familiar with the city but never been to the venue. It is an old airport so plenty of space maybe. Last show for me in this leg and everyone knows what the 4th of July is for Americans. Let's see if that means anything to Axl when he's at work. Does he get double time Cheesy

All ready and booked, just waiting at work now beer

Edited to add:

For any of us foreigners attending wednesday is a local public holiday. Not sure how it affects to anything though but usually somehow.

not sure if this information got out loud enough: the Metro C (red line), which goes from the city centre to Letňany (terminus) is interrupted in the city centre.
there are substitute buses XC, but since the situation started early today, there were huge delays, the buses were completely full and people might have almost 1 HOUR delays!
so double check your travel itinerary so you don't end up lost somewhere.
if you arrive to the city via bus to Florenc station, you're OK.

Does that mean there is no metro at all or not as many trains going.

I was thinking of spending a few hours walking towards the venue.

What is this now, good I checked:

16:00 doors open

17:15 Jesse Jo Stark

18:05 Biffy Clyro

19:15 Guns N' Roses
--

If it says 19:15 then I believe it is so but that seems to be just some random site though Huh

PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Parking will not be available for visitors at the GUNS N? ROSES concert;
We would kindly like to ask all the concert visitors to use a public transport -metro C line - getting off at the Letňany Metro Station and after the concert again to use the same public transport ? its service from 14:00 to 20:00 and from 22:30 to 24:00 will be significantly enhanced. For transportation from the eastern part of the city you can also take advantage of an enhanced 195 bus service on Skalka ? Vysočansk? - Letňany route. Please note that there is a total lack of parking space at the location of the concert.

Are Biffy Clyro a big deal over there? I'm surprised they're supporting- in the UK they are pretty popular in their own right. Arena level shows.

Does that mean there is no metro at all or not as many trains going.

I was thinking of spending a few hours walking towards the venue.
the metro works, actually they even go more frequently to Letňany because of the show.
but they only go from Florenc to Letňany and back, not further in the city centre:

so if you come by bus, you're most probably OK, because most buses to Prague terminate at Florenc bus terminal.
if you arrive to another bus terminal (unlikely, all others are small, but it's possible), check for alternate route.
if you arrive by train, you most probably arrive to Hlavn? n?dra?? (Main station), which is 1 metro stop from Florenc... but the metro doesn't work there at the moment. I suggest you take the short way on foot to Florenc, it's about 10 minutes walk.
if you arrive via plane to V?clav Havel airport, you have multiple choices how to get to Letňany:
1. Bus AE (Airport Express) - this one doesn't use the standard public transport ticket and you have to pay for it separately (dunno, I've never ever used this one). but it takes you quite quickly to the city center, you can either drive to Hlavn? n?dra?? or to Masarykovo n?dra?? (the other important train station in the center) - these two are 5 minutes walk from each other and also near Florenc.
2. Bus 100 to Zlič?n, then metro B to Florenc, and change lines to metro C to Letňany
3. Bus 119 to Veleslav?n, then metro A to centre and switch to metro C to Letňany. but this one is NOT recommended at the moment, as the transfer point at Muzeum is being repaired as well... so you have no way to switch metros comfortably
4. of course a taxi - no idea how much it costs on average, I only know that local taxis know how to strip tourists of money! so beware. taxis from big companies like AAA Taxi (yellow taxis) should be okay.

At the venue with 0 seconds to get in and 30secs to get beer.

Plenty of happy people here and some loud opener. Had to pay deposit for the beer glass but this is actually something I'd like to take home but most likely can't be bothered to carry around.

It's pretty cool, got the classic gnr logo and the name of the tour on it. I'm keeping mine :-)

What a night! They played over 3 hours, saying I was blown away would be an understatement. Smiley

Finally heard Coma live, sounded way better than I imagined it would. And they threw in Sorry in the encore, which I was able to record and will share with you guys.

Do yourself a favor and go see this band live, you will be amazed.

I just came back from the show. What a night.  I was in the front row, duff s side.  Axl waved back to me once and then smiled cause I was singing every word of coma. I am still thrilled ( and exhausted).
The encore was awesome.

Nothing to tell but I managed to keep two. Robust plastic with just the logo. Well usable next summer but nothing like merch you would pay for as such.

What a show. And what a venue. So much space but still tight and partying if you were willing to move a little forward. And did I just hear Used to Love Her.

Great setlist you got there. Crowd looked decent to me- a bit of space, probably due to it not being sold out.

Definitely want to get one of those glasses! I'm a sucker for merchandise!

Shows are really starting to mimic the early 90s shows. Now we just need a little Wild Horses prior to LALD.  Except back then wasn't only women bleed prior to PC? Grin

Not sure about the local laws but there was probably never a way to sell it out because you could've taken in so many. Plenty of ticket touts as well but I didn't check the prices. Most likely lot cheaper than buying from official sources.

I'll send you my other glass! It's not about the cost but how to pack it properly. So never mind the darkness we still can find a way peace

'Wild Horses' prior to 'LLAD' ?  It was only ever used as an intro to 'Patience'.

'Only Women Bleed' was only ever used as an intro to 'KOHD'.

actually, the local newspapers already noticed that yesterday they played exactly the same songs as in 1992, except for one. plus some more additions, of course.

Not much of a Floyd fan but always like the Mother intro even when it was slightly changed https://youtu.be/eFOXM0JsFfc?t=2m12s
I always liked hearing the Only Women Bleed intro.  Wonder if they will ever do "Chip Away" intro to Paradise City again..that was my favorite!

Great venue I LOVE my beer glasses (there were two models, black and see-through)

Yes, I missed the see-through rant

They spoke good English so I could've asked for it but kept taking my chances beer
Doesn't hurt to have several black ones  Grin beer

interesting note: local reviewers praise This I Love and Sorry as highlights of the evening and also report that especially Fortus was on the same level with Slash, not just a second-grade invisible henchman. very, very interesting, I'd never expect this.

That's pretty reassuring. Personally I found Chinese and Better to be highlights of the shows I saw. I enjoyed hearing the new approach to them. I'd agree about Fortus too- he's allowed to shine a lot on this tour, and not blend into the background.

True, but I noticed that he doesn't interact with the crowd much, like Duff for example.

I think that's just him- I don't remember him interacting much on any of the CD era tours.

I think those were two comments thrown in the same sentence bacon. Don't think the fortus was directed at you just the complaining part.

Shows are really starting to mimic the early 90s shows. Now we just need a little Wild Horses prior to LALD.  Except back then wasn't only women bleed prior to PC? Grin

'Wild Horses' prior to 'LLAD' ?  It was only ever used as an intro to 'Patience'.

'Only Women Bleed' was only ever used as an intro to 'KOHD'.
That's right. My bad.

actually, the local newspapers already noticed that yesterday they played exactly the same songs as in 1992, except for one. plus some more additions, of course.

audio bootleg here: http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/topic/218631-guns-n-roses-20170714%C2%A0-letnany-airport-prague-czech-republic%C2%A0/
What was the other song?

Yes and if they do Mother before PC would rock!  ok
Yeah! Oh and we can't forget Bad Time prior to SCOM and It's Alright prior to NR.

What an amazing concert that was!
Axl was in top form!
Really happy to finally see them together, at least 3 of them Wink
Anyways, does anyone here know from which original art comes the litography that was used for that t-shirt?

Thanks in advance!

Behind the scenes for the first 2mins:

Happy I found this, I would really like to know how things really are apart from the show. Of course not their private life but when they are already at work like now. Now there's a glimpse.
