Ill be doing Milwaukee and Chicago for sure. Maybe MPLS.
Ive taped plenty of shows at the Bradley Center, so I should be able to get some good results on this one.

I'll be there. Closest to MKE they've been is Alpine Valley and Chicago! Front row or bust.

Yeah, I just "purchased" mine as well.? I'm not quite sure that it's for real, though.? I find it disturbing that tickets.com would let you go through the process of ordering if these truly weren't on sale yet.? But if it's legit, I have some fn awesome seats!? The seat #'s aren't listed on the confirmation email I have though, but my credit card was charged.? What gives??

Did you get floor seats? Mine confirmation listed the section as GEN, row as ADM, and then Seat 1 and 2. For as long as I've gone to concerts, general admission was just a mad dash to the stage - nothing was assigned. My credit card was charged as well for the total given but then there are two other charges from tickets.com for $1 each pending. What the hell are those for? Either way, I am so happy to have tickets, it just doesn't matter. So, is anyone meeting up before the show or what?

No, Section 217...Row E. Still awesome tix...if they pan out. I emailed tickets.com and asked about the seat numbers. I hope this is for real. Any idea why these are selling via gunsnroses.com so early...before ticketmaster gets em? I've never been able to do anything like this before!

GNR is doing it for the fans. I can see where you'd want to know your seat numbers for your tickets, though. I feel pretty confident that it's legit - keep contacting tickets.com.

Hey Folks,
Tickets.com is for real. Lots of other shows were purchased through here too. But don't expect to get the tickets early cause I've been following the NY thread at MSG and people are getting their tickets like 10 days before the show. And the GA - we have GA at the allstate but it is just GA. Some venues have split the floor so people with higher numbers are put in the back and some shows are just GA but they put numbers on there so they could tell how many are selling and when the floor is sold out.
chicago only has obstructed view and nose bleed seats left. I want this show to sell out so consider coming south! It's only like a 45 minute ride - I've been to Summerfest so many times, I've got the drive down!

I got my tickets (purchased from tickets.com 10/10) for the Milwaukee show yesterday.? I can't imagine the Chicago tickets should take much longer.? And can you believe it...they actually had seat numbers printed on them, not the "~" that my confirmation e-mail listed!!!? Went down to Rosemont in 2002...don't think I'll make the trip this year, especially because of the Monday night factor.? Maybe...just maybe, if it was a Friday or Saturday.?
You mentioned Summerfest...I'm really holding out hope that Chinese Democracy is a) released, and b) a BIG hit so Summerfest gets them to headline.? I could die then--seeing GNR at Summerfest.? ?
Anyone going to the pre-concert party at Gametime across the street from the BC?? In an e-mail The Brew sent out a few weeks ago, they indicate they'll be giving away GNR merchandise.

The Hog is also having a pre-show at Major Goolsbys. That would be AWESOME if they came to Summerfest, I still have a T-shirt from 87' when they were supposed to play there (then Appetite broke and they went to Alpine W/ Aerosmith)

It would be extremely sweet if they played summerfest! Summerfest is one of the best places to see bands. Especially because it goes all day and you can party until the wee hours of the morning. I have great memories from summerfest. And imagine seeing a bunch of great bands all in one day - the high just doesn't get any better!
I saw them at Alpine as headliners - I don't remember them touring with aerosmith. That was a crazy show! I loved it so much, I convinced my friend to drive back with me the next day but it was pouring rain and all we could get were lawn seats so we pub crawled our way back from Alpine all the way to chicago.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for Summerfest! That would make my summer!

I have 4 extra tickets available for the show, face value + fees, etc.? ($90 per)
Apparently some of my friends aren't as cool as I thought they were.
Great seats - practically right next to the stage - Section 217, Row E.?
Let me know if you're interested!

I bought 2 tix through gunsnroses.com and also 'won' the auction on ticketmaster for early entry wristbands and GA seats.? I got two of the tix yesterday - not really sure where there from off hand.? I'll have to look at them closer tonight.
I agree with everyone that Summerfest would be the ultimate.? ?Everything's better under the sun.
As far as Major Goolsby's before the show, if it's anything like the Motley pre-show party was, there will be a really, really long line of people waiting to get in.? ?Like more than hour.? ?Depending on the weather that can be a real drag.
We ended up partying in the revolving bar in the hotel accross the street.? Can't remember if that's the Hilton or not...? I think the bar was called Polaris. It's up on the top floor. It was a lot of fun to invade a 'suit' bar with a bunch of headbangers

That's alright man!? It's cool to know that college-aged dudes are into GNR.? I had similar seats back in 2002 in Chicago and it was still awesome.? Dude...you're gonna be in the same room as Axl FN Rose.? No seat can be
that
bad.? I just hope the BC and/or MKE Fire Dept don't try to pull any antics.?

Fellow Milwaukee concert-goers...
If 11/28/06
does
turn out to be the day Chinese Democracy is released, isn't it fantastic that Milwaukee would be the first concert they play after the disk drops?? Wow.?

I'm section 424 row M, seats 1 and 2... It's kinda far up there, but it won't be that far. I had tickets to see Motley Crue earlier this year, and those seats sucked. We were in the WAY back (the very last row of the corner of the stadium) These seats are way better!

Has this show been cancelled or just the thread because it has been merged?

Ill be doing Milwaukee and Chicago for sure. Maybe MPLS.
Ive taped plenty of shows at the Bradley Center, so I should be able to get some good results on this one.
DK
Are you going to MPLS? I've got two extra tickets for sale if you need a ticket, section 111 row F.

I hope they rescedule...?
Man...I'm still reeling from Tuesday's cancellation.? Massive GNR-induced depression.? And this shit-ton of snow that we got doesn't help.? Seeing the "Milwaukee Concert Cancelled" press release headline was like finding out someone I knew died.? I'm glad to say that I think I'm finally at the "acceptance" stage of the cancellation.? ?
On a more serious note, assuming there is a 2nd leg of the "Chinese Democracy" tour, what do you think the chances of another Milwaukee date are?? I wish I knew more about the 'promotion' aspect of concerts, e.g., is there any chance anyone would be willing to gamble on the Bradley Center again?? In a prior post, I mentioned Summerfest, but after this week, I highly doubt Summerfest would book them.? For one, they'd start playing almost as the place was closing for the night, and secondly, I think they're just too high-risk; imagine the 'fest having to scramble to find a replacement in a day's notice.? (Actually--they'd just call in the BoDeans!)
I don't know where that leaves us.? They could still play the Marcus sometime in the summer...doesn't necessarily have to be as a Summerfest headliner.? It seats less than the Bradley Center and I don't think they would have much trouble filling either place if CD is released.? Hell, they might be able to fill the BC if the CD was released.? The tunes on that have a wide appeal.? I can picture Better being played on The Brew, The Hog, and even 102.1.
Thoughts?

I know what you mean.? ?People started calling & emailing me as soon as it was announced to tell me they were sorry.? ?Frankly it was weird.? ?People offering condolences as though a family member had passed.? ? I'm beginning to think they're more off center than I am.? ?Even a douchebag ex texted me ' sorry about gnr'.? OK, you're sorry about that but not sorry you're? fucking dickcheese?? ?WTF?? ?Sorry, I digress and rant.? Of course off center is what makes people interesting though.? The worst of the letdown for me was about 3:00 on show day when I was still at work when I supposed to be headed downtown for the fun.? ?God did that blow.? ?I don't know how long I would have been bummed out if I hadn't scored tickets for the show in Reno.? ?That'll fix ya
Incidently, I just received my credit for Milwaukee from tickets. com. Still waiting on the one from Ticketmaster.
I am hopeful that they will come back to Milwaukee.? ?The Reno show was rescheduled so who knows?? ?I agree with you on Summerfest in regards to the late start time of the show being a reason for it not to happen.? ?Boy would the Milwaukee PD have a field day with that one.? We all know how they love to bust people when the fest ends for the night.? ?I know one guy who got popped for DUI and all he did was go to his car to sleep it off.? ?He didn't even drive anywhere - just made the mistake of having the keys in the ignition.? ?When you can't catch a break when you're trying to do the right thing, you are dealing with one hell of a red donut muncher.? Can you imagine all those people leaving at 3 in the morning & the cops are already ticked because of the time ?? Hell, it'd be like shooting fish in a barrel for them.? I would say the BC or Marcus (non Summerfest day) would be more likely.? ?I personally think the Rave would be most excellent but the stage is way too small for all their shit.? ?
As for Better on the radio?? The hog and maybe 102.1.? ?The brew is way too lame to play it - for god's sake, they play We built this city on rock n roll.? ? I wouldn't want them to play it - it's like having to sit with the dorks on the bus when you were in high school.? Tarnishes the cool factor, ya know?
