Are You A Dead MonkeY?

« Reply #20 on: February 16, 2006, 11:42:38 PM »

im not sure the chords work for that last part after the small break-down.....and that sounds like robin singing....IMO...bad move...get axl to sing that chorus with a different melody....or change the chord progression with robin and/or axl singing....

but otherwise....an incredible song......thank you axl rose, it made the wait seem like nothing, it was worth it!!!! even if this is all we ever get...this song is THAT good (just please change that last part when the clip ends?!?!?!l)

Are you stupid, thats right where the song starts to kick in, it sounds awesome then it just quits.  Man your dumb as hell.

its a matter of opinion. i like the catchiness, to me, that part is not working. but the intro is AMAZING and very creative...verse, pre-chorus....just amazing.

but anyway.....how can we think this is NOT axl's camp leaking....i mean, didn't axl just play the songs in nyc at a club??? all of a sudden, songs appear online....HuhHuh i mean, put two and two together.......someone is testing the waters.....to my eyes, its axl.

yes this song sounds pretty cool, so far, but how can you possibly judge 1/4 of a song? we hve no idea what the rest sounds like, take irs for example, the intro sounds nothing like the middle and the outro is killer. we have no idea till we know what the whole song sounds like

wait....are the drums live or programmed?Huh? obviously the intro is a drum sample, but i mean when it kicks....id hate to think brain's not on this, and its just a very smart producer working some magic.

Actually I don't like the last part that much. I think the intro is amazingly poppy/sincere.. and thats a good thing if Axl wants to put GN'R back on top.

I think its important to remember that we've only heard 1:20 of the song..  imagine if you only heard 1:20 of coma.. or November Rain/Estranged. Your almost missing the whole thing.

All we need is just a little patience...

from what i heard, i thought better sounded fucking awesome, i hope CD comes out this year because this song kicked ass. i hope there are no more leaks though because when CD comes up i dont want to anticipate anything on it.  and i think its alittle more then coincidental that axl mentions better as one of his fav songs and now theres a leak with a ton of positive reaction.  i cant imagine what it ll be like when CD is released

This song should definatley be the first single. We have only heard like 80 secs and we are already totally into it. The chorus or prechorus seems great to me, after all in the old GNR duff, Slash and Izzy did sing in a lot of songs.
