I believe I just heard a short clip of "Better" as they went to commercial on Monday Night Football.  Grin

Anyone else hear it just now?

Before breaking to a commercial, the heavy part of the song (before Axl howls "I never wanted you to be so full of anger") played, and it hit me... "Whoa, this is really happening!"

Yeah they played a little bit of it earlier on Monday Night Countdown before going to commercial as well.

Yeah, that's the part I heard too. Cool that you and faldor heard it too and I wasn't just hearing things.   Grin

I didn't hear it earlier on Monday Night Countdown though. I guess I wasn't watching at that time.

Radio 1 should announce the next weeks playlist tomorrow afternoon. Might be worth sending a text in to Chris Moyles show in the morning (particularly after 9am) - Aled may see it and he might take the hint as he is on the playlist comittee...  Wink

Seriously, is the song already released offcially as a single? I didn't heard it yet on the (belgian) radio stations  Huh

Something else: Last friday evening, our poker evening among friends, I let my Friends listen to CD and about the song 'Better' they stated that this is a 'typical american song' which will be a success in the States but not in Europe.... Is there something as 'typical american type of rock'??

here in Germany i didn't hear BETTER on the radio , not once.
I highly doubt that the song will reach as many people as it would have if there was a video but i guess this was already discussed  Kiss

Maybe certain songs only become hits in certain countries. Not necessarily because only people in that country like the song.

It could simply be because the song was featured in a popular TV series in that country or something similar....



But GN'R is a global band.
