What do you think would happen say a couple months down the road buckethead comes back and says he is a changed person and pleads his case to get back into the band and Axl and company agree to take him back.  How will he be accepted by fans and will he be treated with the same respect as before?

Buckethead fans (bucketbots) would send him money from their own pockets so he could fight the legal battle...to get out of his contract yes

And :yes:here.
IMO Mr. Bucket represents this saying
"There's only a very fine line between a genius and a madman" and I just hope they can handle him.

Its something different and will be a big surprise

« Reply #4 on: March 31, 2004, 04:39:29 PM »

its quite simple. At first the peopel who have been following gnr on a daily basis{us} will be split and his work on the album will win the other people back over....

the most important thing is that the general public will not have known that bucket had quit and taken it to heart. so when the album is out they will think that bucket was always the guitarist. so it wont affect the new fans

It would be great.  Buckethead was an essential part of this band, bringing in new member after new member will not make any sense if Axl keeps this pattern of new guitarists going.

I don't know if it a good idea to have him back because ti seems like he is unsable and there is something wrong with him. After what he did by making Axl and the rest of Guns N' Roses to cancelle RIR IV was the end of him with Guns N' Roses ever again. I'm sure they will find someone that is just as good as BH or even better to fill his role that he gave up like a fool.

If Buckethead really has been behind the CURRENT delays of CD and lives a "transient" lifestyle where nobody can ever get in touch with him, why bother bringing him back? One unrelieable lead singer is enough. hihi Seriously, I think the only "negotiating" that will be going on is whether they can negotiate some royalty settlement for BH's contributions to the new material. Other than that, call Paul Huge and go out there. If GH is any indication, the name and the MUSIC sell the band more than the actual players.

I would have to agree with that. Just look at Whitesnake..on their legendary 1987 album there were no original members left except David Coverdale, but it still became their most succesful album to date.

It realy depends on what new guitarist is brought in....again. Let's asume that the parts buckethead did are not erased so that those are still on the album. People buy the album and be like woaaaa those parts are real cool, I want to hear that live, so those people go to the concerts and see yet another guitarist who plays parts differently. Wouldn't that be weird??

Other than that Rock On  beer
