I don't think he showed in this show. It was the first 2002 show in China...

08.14.02 - Summer Sonic Festival, Hall 3, Hong Kong Convention And Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong, China
"Axl explained the title of the album and showed the crowd [on the video screen] the artwork for the new album. The artwork is black and white and features a bicycle, with a wall behind it that someone painted with “Guns N’ Roses!!”" (taken from gnrontour.com)

Thanks for posting. I was not aware of this. I remember about 15 years ago there was someone claiming to have it but wanting quite a bit of money to set it free. Glad whoever had it released for.

Ah yes, the show dated 01/01/01.  Axl sounds good!     Thanks for posting this!   8)

I remember having the CD bootlegs for this show back in the day, the pre-youtube days when ebay still allowed the sale of bootlegs, and when they cost an arm and a leg.   :P

You're probably thinking of The Joint, which was also in Vegas but at the very end of the year. That hasn't seen the light of day AFAIK.

I might be. It was the first show the band did. Either way, very cool to see this.

I hadn't seen it before it was a really strange time in GnR history without Slash,Izzy, Duff and Sorum/Adler it was difficult to get your head around the new line-up after the huge impact the band had created in the late 80s early 90s .
