News from the LA Times indicate that he is currently working with Slash, R Kelly, and Michael Jackson.  They are collaborating on songs to raise money for Jackson and Kelly's defense fund.  Ironically, it is a children's album....

Mr. Richard Fortus is a professional musician who is getting payed to play with the likes of Enrigue I. n' every other band/solo artist.
Who cares, obviously he doesnt.

na sorry but that shit pisses me off when people bag him out just 'cause he played with that mole fella n' might of had some collaberation with Nsync or some shit.

I am surprised about how Axl is OK with this given how he has openly ripped Slash for playing with the likes of Michael Jackson, Blackstreet and others saying that basically it was an embarrassment to him and his status as a rock icon. You would think he would also want to protect Fortus's integrity like that. At worst we already know how Axl's rant will go if/when Fortus leaves/gets fired from GNR.

But Slash was the most famous guitar player in the world at one time... and he played with Michael Jackson, which is beneath him.

Nobody has ever heard of Richard but he's such a great player that he can play anything with anyone.

GN'R haven't been the most dangerous band in the world since 1988. Does anyone really think those millionaires pictured in the Don't Cry video were dangerous?
But so what if they aren't? That's the biggest bullshit type of promotion I've ever heard off.  Being dangerous does not make you a talented musician. It's dumb. It's like buying an Osama Bin Laden CD because he's dangerous. HOw retarded would that be?

Any fool who bought AFD simply because GN'R were dangerous is no better than the 13 year old girl who bought N'Sync because she thought they were cute.

Give Into Me (one of the MJ song Slash played on) is an awesome song! And N'Sync has some good pop songs. I like the upbeat ones like I Want You Back and It's Gonna Be Me, but I can't stand them when they try to do ballads.

Why is it surprising. Actually its quite simple.

Slash was the biggest guitarist in the world. WHy should he whore himself liek that.

Fortus was a session player. Thats how he made his living. I dont ever remember him being in a popular band liek gnr, do you? When gnr hit the scene again and fortus continues to do those type of things what you are saying would be valid, till thennnn
