If somehow your band took off and became big who would you most want to sound like. I teeter back n forth personally. Sometimes I think Misfits/ramones, alot of the times it's guns. But I think if I had to choose it would be aerosmith around the toys in the attic and rocks era. Kind of bluesy real strong rock.

I agree; I love early aerosmith and bluesy hard rock. I'd love for that to always be "in".

I would want to sound like something that had never been heard before. But, I would probably want to sound like Guns N' Roses mostly; the Appetite for Destruction guns.

I would like my band to sound like a classic Rock band, following the Zeppelin-Aerosmith-Guns line.

But the most important thing about the sound is that is HAS to be timeless, not following musical trends form any era.

And,like Guns N' Roses, the band should evolve from album to album, give the fans different sounds, but with a distinctive style,so you would know what band it is,no matter what song you hear,a fast rocker or an emmotional ballad.

Oh,I almost forgot,it has to have a killer lead guitar

Well I have to say personally Id wana sound like a combination of perhaps GnR, & HIM. Not just because there my two favorite bands but just because the sound and vocals of both bands are so unique and awesome that a clash between both styles would be seriously wicked. But thats just me peace

Everyone wants to sound new or a little of mix and I'm not the exception so the mix between acid jazz and something like Queen-zeppelin-guns style and the voice of a female like Xandria or Portishead would be cool, also I wouldn't use guitars I would try to use another choices and at the end I will kill myself jajajajajajaja  hihi rofl ok

That's a tough one - i suppose something like Pantera's Vulgar Display of power combined with a bit of 80's U2 at their absolute best - though quite how that would work!

I'd probably like a few elements of 80s hair metal like Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard, mixed in with a punk-pop sound, like Green Day or Blink-182.  I'm not so much into obscure indie bands...so I guess if I had a successful band, it would sound sort of commercial.  But in the good GN'R way, not in the bad Good Charlotte way.  Tongue
