Just wondering why the number of members dropped off in a day?
I noticed that members have been increased in number and it was at over 4520 yesterday but abruptly fell short of 4300 today.

Did Chris ban those 200ish members?

Oh no..the purge has finally begun.......

A bigger question is: as u have to sign in to view the board how come it still lists a certain number of 'guests' present?

Accounts that were registered in 2002 and 2003, but have never been used, were the first ones to go.

That's something, for all of you who think the amount of members is really important, to think about. 


Some of the guests are logging in, registering etc.

there must be a good 2000 of such accounts, about 200 posters make up well over 95% of all the posts, (of which Jarmo, D and me make up most of them )

It's possible.

It's not the post count, it's the fact that the users have not bothered using their accounts in two years.

I bet there are users who registered in 2002 and never posted, but they still use the account to read the board.

I've often thought that too. I'd say i notice about 150 different members who post reguarly and about another 100 who post every now and then. But no way did i think out of the 4000 plus members that all those accounts were used reguarly, id say around 600.
