You mean 4-6 weeks after the 23rd?  That is a long time to get the coupons, I like the promotion but I wish they would have made it so you can just print out the coupon after you fill out the info. 

They probaby figure there's too much opportunity for "shananigans" on that one.  I could take any printed out coupon, scan it, and mint them.  Heck, I could copy it on our color copier here at work...used to copy diagnostic quality images...and mint them as well.  I'd have free Dr. Pepper right up until the expiration date.

I wouldn't do it, to be clear, but I could.  And I think thats why they feel better sending a "paper coupon", 1 per mailing address...less risky for them.

LOS ANGELES(AP) - Dr Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the release of Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is a reality.

The soft-drink maker said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album dropped in 2008. "Chinese Democracy," infamously delayed since recording began in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.

"We never thought this day would come," Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper's vice president of marketing, said in a statement. "But now that it's here, all we can say is: The Dr Pepper's on us."

Beginning Sunday at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper's Web site. They'll be honored until Feb. 28.

Pity there will be no way for International fans to get a coupon, I don't want the free Dr Pepper but it would be cool to have the coupon as a collector's piece!

Dr. Pepper is full of shit after registering myself, i went back to register my little boy and his mother, and it said sorry only one coupon per household or some shit. Wtf? it said every u.s. citizen in the U.S. what a crock of shit!

Yeah 1 per household/IP address it seems.  If you can change your IP address then you might be able to register for another coupon but the site is too slow for me to try it.

i can almost guarantee u that dr. pepper wont' be losing much money because i can almost bet it it will only be guns n roses/rock fans and media people that are even aware of this promotion so a few million sodas will go out free and that will be it. Probably no more than 10 million at best.

Thats true. I doubt it being on CNN all day, FOX News, and everywhere else in the free world that it will have a big impact on Dr. Pepper and Guns.

Just noticed that Dr. Pepper nowhere on their 24-hr lived web page for the regirstation mention the reason for the "free" drink. A slight mention of a little band called Guns N' Roses would have been nice.
